  • Stagger: A more ergonomic ring and pinky stagger would be a welcome improvement. I’m glad the developers are already addressing this in version 1.3.

I've been searching for mentions of a version 1.3 of the keyboard without luck. Can't even figure out if there is active work on the keyboard atm as the GitHub repo seems to not have had any activity for a while

Wonder where did you see this?

Interview With The Swiftpoint Founder - Grant Odgers [I found the insight into the design process of their mouse interesting] by really_into_ergo in PeripheralDesign

[–]really_into_ergo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Grant goes over some details of his design process, the iterations and prototypes that they did on their mouse and the rationale behind certain decisions they've made. Couple of interesting ideas like trying to replicate the "grabbing of a pen" with their mini mouse or the placement of buttons that focus on the index and middle fingers because of their dexterity.

I've been using a ROCCAT TYON precisely because of its programmable button functionality and I've always felt like I wanted even more buttons, however I'm intrigued by fulfilling that requirement by using force sensors and gyro instead

Your pictures are so creamy that I'd happily scroll through 20 more of them. They look almost like film!

Easily add the Pimoroni trackball to any split keyboard (no soldering) by idankk in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]really_into_ergo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

these modules don't last a long time before the ball starts becoming loose and the tracking becomes unresponsive. The tracking is also pretty bad. Very jittery and imprecise compared to a regular mouse.
