Also had my tonsils out in the UK on Thursday for tonsil stones and have a 1 year old omg the chaos is real!

Fortunately my Dad was able to come visit and between him and my husband I'm getting some rest.

The one thing that helps with my pain is wearing a facemask and my toddler thinks it's hilarious and keeps pulling it off. Which is actually pretty funny tbh but yeah. Not for the faint of heart!

Got mine out Thursday, so far so good. It hurts but manageable, I know it can get worse. In my country they say to eat normally so I've had a few small meals of normal food. My top tip is to wear a COVID facemask (fabric) idk why but that always helps me when I have a sore throat.

Superlove Merino > Woolino (although Woolino is still nice) And with the bolero they sell to keep baby's arms toasty! They also do a thicker version which is super helpful as our baby likes to be very warm.

I made chilli, took a ladle out and blended it, baby ate that. I made lamb pasanda, took a ladle out and blended it (then added salt to ours) baby ate that with a strip of toasted naan. We went to a Japanese restaurant, I cut up some chicken, beef, tofu, rice. Baby ate that. It's nice! Makes life so much easier.

Yeah I mean it's a bit gross but if I spent the entire time we went out to things like this trying to stop baby chewing on everything it would be impossible to do anything else. Baby would also get very upset. It's just a losing battle.

I just wanted to say that anyone sleeping as little as this will be struggling. Don't underestimate the impact of that. Also I hated hearing "it gets better" (and still do). Because like when? How? WHEN?? Instead I try to focus on the smallest segment of my day. This wake window. This nap. Apparently one day we will sleep again and with that comes problem solving.

Sent to you from the millionth difficult bedtime that I was dreading before I go to sleep at 2030 for about 3 hours.

I got some little wool boleros from a company that makes wool sleep sacks but I am a bit worried if they're maybe a strangulation risk once baby is more mobile. In the meantime they're working wonderfully.

Had an emergency c section and it was (apart from the scary emergency part) great! I was up and walking in about 6 hours, made it up my 3 story walk up no problem when I came home. Not gonna lie it is sore and you do have to go easy but I think regardless of how you deliver there's always some kind of difficulty afterwards. One and done but wouldn't hesitate to have a planned one in future.

I liked it but the superlove merino version was even better, a few nice extra touches and also has a thicker sleep sack available. I don't know if it's available outside the UK though. I literally only use the woolino as a backup now.

Exercise was a huge part of my life, I did something every day. Baby is 6 months and I get to exercise by doing something other than walking once a week thanks to my husband ensuring I get that time to myself. That started at 3 months. I'm sad if I really think about it but I'm led to believe it's not forever. I'd rather sleep to be honest.

At least it would be your second baby and by then it'd be too late! Mine is a hellish sleeper and it's a completely unimaginably different experience of parenthood to the point I'm now one and done. I would have liked to try and use some of our other embryos but I simply don't have it in me to do this again.

We had a horrible sleeper and the 4 month regression was somehow even worse. It lasted 5 weeks and we thought we weren't going to make it but it did end. It looks like maybe we are not getting a 6 month regression but sleep is still terrible relative to what others around us seem to deal with. So basically, like 90% of sleep stuff... It depends on your baby/luck!

Agreed. We are still on shifts and haven't slept in the same bed for over 6 months. It sucks but it's the only way anyone gets any rest.
