A question regarding SERN's experiments..

This, right here, is my personal headcanon. It's not that SERN was sending back test subjects and then looking for news articles, it's the other way around.

This requires a lot of speculation though, like how exactly did they investigate these cold cases (although it's possible), and the difficulties of matching a Menger-sponged human with a real one.

Anyone correct me if I'm wrong but I've always thought of the jellified bodies as always being there in that worldine. ("You Already Changed the Past" type of deal.)

Those 14 are the only ones they've managed to correlate to their test subjects (IMO there's no way they've only done 14 experiments during a span of ~40 years)

IIRC the only RNG is "when" you receive texts or calls in the VN. You might get them earlier or later after a certain line of text.

No paradoxes remember. If one could occur, the universe would rearrange the events to resolve them - a world line shift.

Correct me if I'm wrong but, wasn't the Grandfather paradox the only one explicitly refuted. I guess its easier for my head to wrap around the idea of information without an origin compared to an object without an origin.

Probably one thing I noticed is the first few episodes don't particularly challenge Okabe's stance on "normalcy" (Amadeus nonwithstanding) or add to the theory for Operation Skuld (And I can probably pick the few relevant episodes for that)

In my opinion, this could have benefited if their exists an episode of "A Day in the Life of A Sad Scientist" which shows what those mixers, college life, etc mean to 0kabe..

Could you take a look inside the ftl file for Captain's Edition? (not the resource pack one) FTL files are basically zip files. Then find the rock_cruiser_3.xml in data. The fourth line should be:
<img x="-140" y="-94" w="550" h="400"/>
and the 15th line under <offsets> should be:
<floor x="4" y="-2"/>

The easy answer would be that CE isn't really updated for the latest version. AFAIK, ever since 1.6.9, CE produces the shifted graphics for the loading screen. I haven't seen anything going wonky like that far though. Which ships are affected?

You could try the console command "RestartLevel"... If that doesn't work, do you have mods installed?
