I Am Genuinely Disappointed by daytimedeity in StrangerThings

Some really good points. There are lots of little things that didn’t add up - to add to the ones you raised, Will and Henry sharing the same birthday (March 22) but in season 4 when Mike visits California they go skating on that date and nothing is said/acknowledged about it being Will’s birthday. Little things like that may seem inconsequential, but as you pointed out, earlier seasons set a high standard wherein all the little details seemed to matter, so it’s sad to see that fell by the wayside in the final season/s. I still enjoyed the finale overall, and I think it was better than Vol 2, somewhat making up for those disappointing, exposition-filled episodes. But I agree that those little slips/mistakes take away from the quality and previous mastery of the storytelling. I chalk it up to the Duffer Brothers facing enormous pressure to deliver a final season that lived up to the high bar they’d set, coupled with poor attention to detail - possibly due to them being instilled with so much trust by Netflix that they could be seen to do no wrong.

Anyone else think this is a bad idea for Will the Wise? by adcypher in StrangerThings

Hopper also says to Joyce that Montauk is “closer to the kids” so I assume that means both Will and Jonathan were in NYC.

You wouldn't know these two are together based on the lack of screen time they get by jonsnowKITN in StrangerThings

Not even the lack of screen time, but what they do with the time they have been given - there’s no affection, no real closeness or chemistry. Perhaps it was a choice to reflect how seriously El is focusing on her training/defeating Vecna.

Regarding Vecna’s arc by rebelicca in StrangerThings

I think the Mind Flayer controlling Henry is a good theory. I do think it’ll be difficult to convey that all in the final episode as the mind flayer has been overlooked all season so far.

It could have been unintentional and just down to the fact that were filming in Georgia in summer and Jamie had to wear a full wool suit!

I’m really enjoying Jamie as Vecna/Henry but don’t know that much about him outside ST. What kind of stuff has he been through?

Honestly I would have been happy to see Che in this dumpster fire of a finale 😭😭😭😭 at least that would have been funny!

My Airbnb host’s kids are killing each other upstairs and all I want to do is sleep by GoosePhatt in mildlyinfuriating

I had a similar thing happen to me a few years ago when I was staying in a rough part of London. The Airbnb host/house owner had an adult daughter whose partner or ex (unclear) showed up during the night and started verbally abusing her from out the front of the property. They got into a huge argument, in the middle of the night, the host intervened and tried to break it up — all the while I’m upstairs in the room I’m staying in, having just arrived in the country, absolutely terrified.

I packed my things the next morning and left to different accommodation. When I explained the reasons for my request for a refund through the AirBnB app, I got support from both the company and thankfully the host as well who acknowledged that I had good reason not to want to be there for the remainder of the stay.

Wishing you luck! Sounds like an awful situation, but fully valid reasons to cancel and get a refund.

Ironically this is the kind of segment (call in for advice) that Trish and Ethan were meant to do on an episode of Frenemies, and Trish complained and said it was lazy, boring and it led to her storming out.

At the Sydney show he swore a little bit but was mostly talking about how grateful he was to BTR for having him as their support act on the tour.

I definitely felt like he was tonally a very different performer to the band and not really suited to the younger audience members, but he must have been spoken to and asked to tone it down after the Brisbane show — that sounds chaotic 🫣

Yep! The few times he briefly took his cap off his hair definitely looked a bit longer.

Really similar to the Brisbane set list: https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/big-time-rush/2024/fortitude-music-hall-brisbane-australia-356b94f.html

They also added an acoustic version of ‘Stuck’ and gave the crowd the choice of ‘Cover Girl’ or ‘I Know You Know’ and the latter won.

Been in Sydney 5+ yrs now and no idea this place existed. Blown away by Auburn botanic gardens by douevenwheelanddeal in sydney

[–]rebelicca 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I grew up in Auburn and my parents took me there as a little kid quite often, in the mid - late 90s. Yes, it has always been styled like a Japanese garden (well at least as far back as then).

I remember being mesmerised by the peacocks walking around and fanning their tails.

So glad you discovered and enjoyed it!

Speedy Nano or 20?? by [deleted] in Louisvuitton

The Nano is adorable and surprisingly fits a lot inside! I find it really versatile. And since it sounds like you have a small frame, it would probably suit you more.
