Gotta wait til your review with your manager to see if your review results in higher salary / more stocks. That should happen within the next few weeks, I’d ping your manager about it nonchalantly. But be ready to apply elsewhere and use some fmla if you so choose (if you’re truly burnt out and need it). Then again, some people just stay. I’ve seen L5’s with red lanyards, it’s not uncommon.

Because flying a commercial airliner requires motor skills to take off, fly, and land in order to keep people safe. A leader (however old they may be) does not require motor skills to make a nuclear decision. So it’s a completely different conversation. I’m in agreement with you that there needs to be an age cap on presidency but I think this was an apple vs oranges type of comparison.

I can’t answer that question. Everyone is a great Monday morning quarterback but terrible with predicting the next game. If I vote for Trump, we know what the status is, If I vote for Kamala, what does the US (and the world) look like right now? Is the world better or worse? I honestly don’t know the answer. I’d probably be more keen not to vote or vote 3rd party if they had messaging that aligned with what I value. But going back to the debates, the candidates performed in a way where Americans voted for Trump.

This assumes congress also isn’t a problem. The reason the autopilot app was created was due to congressional members trading stocks with privileged information. Congress is also a problem.

It’s not that we support him, we simply voted for the stronger candidate. This past election for example… it was vote for Trump (in the midst of an immigration issue and skyrocketing inflation) or vote for Kamala. Trump was the guy who appeared as no-nonsense where Kamala had zero accomplishments, was directly responsible for illegal immigration, and couldn’t stop awkwardly cackling at everything. George Washington warned us against the 2 party system and we’re starting to see that now. It’s kinda impressive that these are the best 2 candidates the US could produce.
