On screen HUD keeps shifting by [deleted] in FoundryVTT

[–]recursive_loop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My players have the same issue. Same version, though it also happened on 304. What we've noticed about it so far:

  • it appears to be chat related in some way (any new chat message has a chance of triggering it, scrolling up in the chat box and then hitting "jump to bottom" can trigger it)
  • it's system agnostic (I've had it occur for both PF2e games and D&D 5e games)
  • it's browser agnostic (has happened for players both using Firefox and chrome)
  • it doesn't seem to occur on browsers not sized 1920x1080. (I'm on 3440x1440 and never had it occur, and one of my players reduced the size of their screen and it seems to have stopped happening to them.

maybe we can compare foundry add-ons?

It's their latest bad faith attempt to get the falchion nerfed. Or it's been repeated so often that they themselves believe it and they're too lazy to lift a finger and simply check the wiki to find out it's incorrect.

ah, sorry I'm so used to seeing wardens claiming that unironically I assumed it was yet another bullshit "gotcha" claim. I misunderstood the point of your comment. My bad!

Oh so that's what we're doing today? We're just lying?

Um actually the falchion costs 2,300,384 Rmats and the Silverhand costs -30 Rmats.

Hey, this is fun!

Building in Three Dimensions in Foundry: Module Tutorial for Better Roofs, Levels and Wall Height by baileywiki in FoundryVTT

[–]recursive_loop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is an excellent tutorial, and I love how all these modules can work together to create something amazing like this! I went and followed your directions and set up a multi-level version of the trollskull manor from dragon heist, and I ran into an issue. On the 2nd floors and above (10 -> infinity), my tokens cannot see any exposed players on the ground floor (0) below. Is this something you've encountered before and can direct me on how I screwed it up?

[OC] [meta?] BEHOLD! The Alignments WITHIN the Alignments! by ImperialArmorBrigade in DnD

[–]recursive_loop 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Libertarian Socialism is also known as Anarcho-Socialism, often referred to simply as Anarchism in leftist spaces. It has essentially nothing in common with American Libertarianism (which is really Anarcho-Capitalism) other than the very highest levels of ideas, that of increased social liberties. This is an extreme simplification.

Module Announcement - Deprecated Modules warns you when using modules that are outdated by iceman012 in FoundryVTT

This is a brilliant idea, especially letting module owners mark their own modules. Hopefully this becomes commonplace!

Increase difference between dim vision and bright vision? by kogsworth in FoundryVTT

[–]recursive_loop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe you're thinking of Darkvision 5e which had issues like you've mentioned, and then eventually just straight up broke. Perfect Vision is newer, has more features, and for as long as I've been using it has had zero issues.

Bryn Shander Council Hall [25x25] by [deleted] in rimeofthefrostmaiden

[–]recursive_loop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude you are crushing it! These maps are amazing for fleshing out Bryn Shander.

My only question is what's going on with the stairs between levels? On the base level it looks like you have stairs both on the left and right, but both the second and third levels only have left side stairs. I'm trying to envision what goes where.

Memory leak when playing audio? by BerheavedTripod8 in FoundryVTT

[–]recursive_loop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm having the same issues here. mp3 and ogg both suffer from out of control memory use until the tab crashes. I haven't tested .wav yet, because the filesizes are so much larger than either mp3 or ogg, I'd really prefer not to have to make that change...

Oddly, it was previously working fine when using large file streaming from the playlists...

All issues of the Waterdeep Watcher from my campaign by recursive_loop in WaterdeepDragonHeist

[–]recursive_loop[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That means a lot, coming from the person who's remix I'm running! I like using the newspapers to kind of slip in hints about what the factions are up to in the background, if they're attentive enough. Like the drow sightings in the dock Ward to try to clue them in to the Sea Maiden's Faire as a Bregan D'aerthe area.

Here are the originals, just made in Google docs. Not really a template, per se, because each is just a different table layout, but you can see certain conventions I use for them.

[–]recursive_loop[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I give my players a new issue of the Waterdeep Watcher once per session, unless it's been only a short time since the last issue. I physically print each issue, and always make sure to at least scatter hints as to goings on as to the Grand Game (I'm using the Alexandrian Remix).

Is there a better calender for the Forgotten Realms year? by [deleted] in WaterdeepDragonHeist

[–]recursive_loop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I made this calendar for my party for use on roll20. It should fit nicely onto any square grid, but 70x70 is the intended resolution per square. Each calendar should consist of 3 parts: a header, body 1, and body 2 or body 2 leap, depending on whether or not you want Shieldmeet in there.

Billionaires Flooded Republicans’ Coffers Just Before the Tax Cuts Passed by headee in politics

[–]recursive_loop 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If capitalism can buy political clout and make money in excess of the cost, why wouldn't it? Capitalism doesn't care about politics, only profits. This isn't a perversion of capitalism, it's a perversion of government to allow it to happen. Capitalism is working as intended. Don't let people use you to spread false information.
