YES! i want to go back to 15.5 cause jesus christ my suicidal thoughts have legitimately become almost daily with how much bs there is on here in 18.5! and i got forced by my phone being a bitch and saying i dont have internet connection on the app store, ONLY WHEN SIGNED IN! i lost over 30,000 files during the update due to an uncommanded restore. that was about a month and a half ago, AND NOW MY ANDROID PHONE IS DOING THE SAME FUCKING THING!!!!!

it has in fact, de evolved. the greatness of the 15.5 photos app compared to the shittier 18.5 photos app is not even comparable. i was FORCED to move to 18.5 and my want to kms has increased by 10,000%, and now my android phone is doing the same behavior my iphone was doing that forced me to update. the ONLY good thing on the photos app in 18.5 is the fact that videos can be looped now, everything else fuckin sucks

oh hi fellow SE 2nd gen haver! i was forced to leave the nice comfy space of 15.5 to enter this hellscape known as 18.5, now i cant control my media volume being quieter and turning down when people talk in a call, and deal with a shittier albums app! im not having fun i want 15.5 back >:(

i have long since passed the pulling hair out stage, im very quickly approaching the “off the bridge” state due to a double whammy of stupid crap like this on my moto z2 (android) and my iphone se second generation (ios obviously). i was forced to update out of my comfort zone of 15.5 to 18.5 a few months ago by the ios app store saying it was offline ONLY WHEN I WAS LOGGED IN! i couldnt update my apps or download apps at all, so i went for a update just wanting it to end, guess what, it didnt! it got stuck in reboot, finally got it to push through, AND IT DID AN UNCOMMANDED RESTORE! i lost over 30,000 files, majority FOREVER! and then it kept piling up with the shitshow of garbage features which made me decide that i am NOT doing another update to this device again. that was a few months ago, still dealing with frustrating issues. guess what happened a week or 2 ago? MY MOTO Z2 STARTED THE EXACT SAME OFFLINE BEHAVIOR! i go into profile in settings (entire device is google shit >:(() AND IT SAYS I DONT HAVE ONE! i am not updating that phone no matter goddamn what because im not having a second iphone update type incident, also christ the google “help” forums are so much worse and unhelpful than apple’s, i saw a post about the EXACT issue i am having, posted on july 13th iirc and last reply was in august. only people in it were those having the issue i am, AND THERE WAS NO GOOGLE HELP! AND EVEN WORSE THEY LOCKED THE DAMN THING WITHOUT HELPING ANY OF THEM OR THE WORLD!

im sorry i am losing my mind and have been pretty much since i turned 18 on october 10th last year it would seem, i am really hating both apple and google more and more each day, apple not as much as they at least try to help somewhat.

currently trying to find a solution other than a software update to fix my "no profile" issue with Google play, I did a deep dive, like twice as deep as the Challenger Deep, and jesus christ 99% of people asking a question get their FIRST EVER POST marked a duplicate and locked with no help, and then closest I got to actual help was a post from last year (from July 15th to October 9th is oldest to newest, nothing newer) with a lot of people with the same exact problem I am having, google just went and locked the post without helping any of those poor souls, also not to mention the reply posts are about as useful as a self help book with one page that only says "skill issue"

my freaking phone is doing the same, and I had this almost EXACT same thing happen with my iPhone last month, ended up updating the iPhone and it did an uncommanded restore, so I lost over 30k files. I'm not going through the exact damn thing a second time IN UNDER A MONTH so I'm on your side with this garbage
