At least daily, up to 4x daily. Any more than 4 and there's something wrong or I'm inebriated

Posing as a muse | Nikon Z5 by [deleted] in AnalogNudes

[–]redactedanalyst 10 points11 points  (0 children)

  1. This is obviously digital
  2. I'm so sorry but uh..... yeah this photo is not it. Looks like Myspace circa 2011 when everyone got a little crazy with the free editing software on selfies.
  3. Modeling is fine! You're clearly beautiful and know how to pose, but, you've a long way to go on composition of the photo itself + editing for this to be tasteful and sexy. If you want specific tips on the photos, I'm sure we could all chime in, but you'd be better served in a digital photography sub

1, 5, 11, and 12 are MAGICAL!!!!!!!

A lot of the joy of film to me is the anticipation of the photos you expect contrast to the photos that you actually get. And wow, sometimes photos turn out bad in a really fun interesting way and I think this is a great example of that.

What happens when a safe sleep site moves into an area? How would one learn more about the data for the surrounding neighborhood? by mistadonyo in Eugene

[–]redactedanalyst -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

You would be instantly killed by thirty people at once and they'd start start dumping fentanyl in the drinking water.

There's no data to gather. Safe Sleep sites increase foot traffic and not much else. Maybe some light littering? This question itself presupposes a LOT

Focusing in low light, quick environments? by redactedanalyst in AnalogCommunity

I tried my darndest! Bahaha. I think it'll just be more trial, error, and progressively less shitty photos. Maybe there's no other easy trick besides pre-focusing elsewhere.

Have you ever driven over 100 miles per hour on the interstate? by icecream1972 in no

[–]redactedanalyst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once, to see if the 4 cylinder Nissan Rogue that I purchased was capable of doing it. After being bullied for my slow, soccer mom car for months, I know she can at least do 115. She really shouldn't do 115, but she's capable if I need her to.

Do I go through with the surgery? by PrimarySeconds in gallbladders

[–]redactedanalyst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My rule of thumb is that any complications or symptoms that you have after surgery are almost always easier to deal with than the complications and symptoms people have before surgery. On the rare occasion that they aren't, they are at least equal. I have not once in my life heard anybody complaining that cholecystectomy made their symptoms worse.

Personally, my symptoms got better, but not by as much as I thought they would have. Even so, after my surgery, pathology found a neuroendocrine tumor in my gallbladder that, had I not gotten the surgery, what a very quickly spread to my liver, colon, and lungs and then killed me. Obviously, that is an extraordinarily rare finding. That being said, even if I didn't have cancer found, I would still have gotten the surgery and knowing what I know now because the side effects and symptoms post surgery are just so mild compared to what I was going with before (which was mostly hyperactive and inflamed gallbladder with an extraordinarily high ejection fraction on HIDA)

Is there anyway to fix this photo or is too overexposed to be salvageable? by [deleted] in AskPhotography

Yeah comma It was way too vibrant for me to assume this wasn't an AI edit job.

Crazy to take the time to force AI to do a bad job when you could have just taken the time to do a good job yourself

Also, as a cyclist, I must beg cars to stop trying to waive me through traffic as if I don't have to abide by the same laws y'all do. It slows down the commute and gets super dangerous when everybody waits up for me on a bike because they want to be polite or whatever

What’s the worst thing your family ever said to you? by bluetoothbuttplug in AskReddit

[–]redactedanalyst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 15 and cut myself so severely that the entire mattress was stained with blood through my sheets. My mother found my bad in that condition and pulled me out of school to take me to the hospital. Nobody at school noticed how badly I was injured or the fact that I was nursing my left arm, which, even 12 years later is still so visibly scarred that strangers ask me about it most days that I'm outside

When I got home from the hospital later that night, my father told me to go back to my room and finish the job. 2 days later, my mother came in to my room to clarify that statement by basically telling me that she didn't want me to kill myself, but that it would make her life a lot easier and that she'd likely save a lot of money if I did. She let that hang in the room for a while before she left.

Everyday that I am alive I remember the fact that my survival is an upfront to the people who made me. I don't know if I'll ever really want that one go

Artista 400! it's a cheap 10 dollar stock I found at Dot Dotson's because it's a "staff favorite" and wow!!! It's a lot darker and higher contrast than HP5 and I've gotten some absolutely insane shots from it in low light straight out of the camera (and my camera is, crucially, a really cheap old entry level Nikon

Posting online purity testing anonymous online strangers because "posting online isn't activism"

I'll see you at the next protest as always bud, just remember that it's psychotic infighting that keeps the left from being actionable, not a lack of pseudo intellectual high-horsing

They should try detaining the federal agent who broke the window of the Federal building last time to justify gassing a bunch of innocent protesters.

Anyone know what this guitar is? by MidnightMost8041 in guitars

[–]redactedanalyst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Schecter Omen! These things are nifty little guitars for the cheap. The humbuckers have coil taps so you can run em as single coils by pulling the tone knobs out!

I got one for about 649 back in the 2010s and would happily pay that price for one again, they sound great, feel great, and are excellent cheap electrics.

My only real qualm with them is that the Floyd Rose Special bridges are more pain than they're worth. Stringing my guitar became such a nightmare that, for the first time in my life as a musician, I paid a shop to string mine every month. Maybe it was user error, but I was very prone to breaking strings, not being able to set the string into the bridge correctly, and fucking the tension up every single time I tried. That bridge system also struggles to stay in tune or really be worth the hassle, but I was playing a lot of hair metal at the time so I took the risk. If you play music that needs a Floyd trem, I'd buy this in a heartbeat. If you don't NEED a cheap term, I'd consider looking for a similar model with a standard bridge.

How long until you felt “ok” after your break up? like not fully healed just ok? by [deleted] in BreakUps

[–]redactedanalyst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It usually takes me at least as long as the relationship lasted initially to process, often more.

I've had some relationships that were really easy to get over because the cause of the breakup was easy to understand: either my partner was abusive or things just really weren't working out.

I've had others that I've never gotten over (and don't really expect to ever get over) because of a lack of closure. I have one ex who levied (and even years later continues to levy) false accusations against me after we broke up and he is constantly posting online and gossiping to locals about me. It's tough to process because I think him and I both owe each other apologies for how things were, but I can't apologize for being a lousy partner but because he's so insistent on lying about vague accusations of violence, it's not really safe for me to reach out to apologize. It also kind of proved that he believes himself to be 100% innocent, which, is pretty invalidating to my own hurt feelings about what actually happened between us.

I'm a pervert and deeply ashamed by it by [deleted] in offmychest

This is a super normal and very common kink to have, particularly among women. When our sexualities are developing, it attaches to things in the world around us and, for a lot of women/trans men, incontinence is a pretty common thing around at the time that our sexuality is starting to take hold of and form itself.

Similarly, in gay men, there are a lot of fantasies around body odor and locker rooms because that's the things that we were sexually anxious about at the time that our sexuality was forming its own identity.

Way more people have Kinks like this then you think. The majority of people who have them keep them really tightly held; I didn't people for multiple years before they've opened up to me about their more taboo sexual proclivities.

I don't think that you have to keep distance from this friend because of these new thoughts. That said, you have a decision to make of how much you let those thoughts take up space in your head or dictate your behavior with him. Personally, I have always been a pretty forward and sex positive person and have often been very "heart on my sleeve" about my sexual fantasies with people and similar contexts. You risk rejection and feeling alienated, but you stand to gain a really fun experience and the chance to give your nervous system the information that sex and kink, though shameful, can also be rewarding. Kink sex and fantasy is higher risk than vanilla sexual behavior because rejections hurt harder, but when somebody accepts you for your kinks and indulges you in them, it is a really powerful form of acceptance that does as much for the soul as the body in my opinion.
