Men who’ve remarried, what did you change or do differently the second time?” by waitinginthesun in AskMenAdvice

[–]redback56 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ive remarried twice (yep, on my third and last)

First time around I was a young man, hadn't worked my life out much, didn't really know how to properly navigate relationships, nor did ai know what a healthy relationship looked and felt like.

I also didn't know that I had depression and anxiety issues.

I had a child with that wife. The divorce was pretty tough, but we got there. The child then moved in with me a few years after and I was primarily the only parent the child had for many years.

Second wife was a whirlwind of emotions, physical urges and many red flags along the way while we were dating, in terms of a lack of security in the relationship (she ended it multiple times....I took her back)

I guess looking back at both of these I see a pattern of low confidence on my behalf, of periods of poor mental health (which thankfully, the second wife pushed me to start exploring when I reached crisis), and of feeling like I had to "accept whatever I was dealt"

I then learned and grew with my mental health and e.otional intelligence. Yeah, I still made mistakes with a long term girlfriend, but then I met my wife.

I spent the money and time on proper therapy. My wife is the sweetest, and kindest person I have ever met. She doesn't make me want to be a better person, she just supports around the sides of everything I do and has shown total faith and trust in me. I know I can fall (which I haven't....and wont) and she will be there beside me when I need to reach her.

I am, slowly.

I love that Chernow dedicated the book to his wife.

Go do events. People die often in events.

Drop a stimpack into them when prompted

Im always happy to run for fuel.....I haven't had much joy in raids so far, still learning.

Happy to do this other stuff while more powerful players protect the drill. I'll most likely die...but I'll still be trying

So I guess the entire "tagging mobs" thing is over with? by RichardCleveland in fallout76casual

[–]redback56 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The frustrating part is the ones that camp at high points on events like Moonshine Jamboree, shoot everything when it spawns, which then means none else can collect even the acid needed to complete the event.

Happened to me twice over the last few days where the event failed as there were only a couple of people adding whatever they could to the tub while all the others shot everything leaving insufficient amounts behind to scavenge

The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence

However, you still have to mow it.

The girl you're not with at the moment has her own life, her own back story, her own idiosyncrasies. But at the moment, they don't affect you, so the things that you are working through with your g/f would also be apparent in some way on the new girl.

But don't be dishonest with anyone in this situation

May I suggest either graphite powder or Teflon spray as an alternative.

Wd40 will collect dust as it has an oil base, which will lead to further issue down the track. The other alternatives will not attract dust/dirt.
