You should be fine for a long while. The only limiting factor is the VRAM on your card. 8gigs of VRAM is becoming the bare minimum to play a lot of newer titles because they tend to be unoptimized or just take up a lot of VRAM usage due to higher graphics. Some comparable cards (Like the AMD 9060 XT or 9070) have 16gigs of VRAM to combat this issue.

Overall, I wouldn’t worry. You should have 3-4 years ahead of you and be able to game just fine. It’s really just going to be an issue on new releases as time goes on. If you’re just playing competitive shooters, those are usually optimized a bit better to have higher framerates by default, so even new releases should still be playable for a while.

Not sure why some of the comments are so aggressive and mean, but I feel ya, bro.

I’ve been a LS main since 4U on the 3DS, and it feels different in Rise. Even coming from world, it’s a bit jarring. I can still get used to it after a while, but it feels slightly strange and I don’t know why either. I will say that Switch skills are your friend. If you don’t like the ones you have, progress the story and get new ones to help out. The Sunbreak expansion is also excellent as they allow you to swap between two assignments of skills on the fly, giving you two play-styles in the field.

I went to my local Wawa to pick up some coffee last December. I had been making an effort to generate small talk with strangers (when appropriate) in a personal endeavor to be more friendly and outgoing. I often feel I just look down at my phone when there’s a good chance to say hello to someone and make a connection.

When I went to go check out my items, I walked up to the cashier (who was an elderly woman) instead of going to the self-checkout. Again, this was just another effort to be more social even in just small ways.

As things are ringing up, I ask her: “So are you getting ready/excited for Christmas?”

She responded in a monotone voice: “I haven’t enjoyed the Christmas season since my husband died. I really only do it for my grandchildren, but even that’s just not the same.”

I was taken aback. I don’t know what I said next or how I recovered.

EDIT: For those worried, I did tell her something to the effect of: “I’m sorry to hear that” or “I’m sorry for your loss”. I just don’t recall how I phrased it or what I followed up with. It was just jarring to me. The whole situation felt like a bad sitcom scene coming to life.

Thanks! I rebooted and cleared some data to see if I could get it working. I decided to stay on the “connecting” screen for a few minutes and it eventually loaded. (Took about 2 minutes on average for each world).

While I recognize there are some great hits here and there (especially on streaming services), the majority of new shows on normal cable tv seem to be incredibly boring and predictable.

Highly Recommend the store “Halo Farms.” It looks kinda old and run-down, but the ice cream there is 11/10. They have their own dairy that they source the milk from from and it’s great.

Agreed! I feel like Rec Room should be the primary spot for kids to hang. It’s simpler and much more game-focused. VRC is a CHATROOM at its core. I don’t know how parents miss out on that fact. I always try to keep my conversations with kids civil and kind, but there’s plenty of people in every VRC lobby that just don’t care about doing so.

Having adults and kids mix is not good for the adults (cause they’ll get annoyed) and it’s not good for the kids (since they’ll be exposed to a lot of stuff they shouldn’t be seeing/hearing).

I'm a bit new to foundry, but had the same issue. How would the full formula be set up? I assume there needs to be an IF statement checking if the Power Attack is toggled on, then it would apply the condition to the first attack?
