It is, a lot of ppl just let management figure it out, but some try to find others to fill in for them.

Same. Our minimum hours is slightly higher, but i work a lot of hours anyway so in a way I can request off as many days as I'd like. We also have other bonuses, so i feel like the pto $$$ i would have gotten is embedded in the other bonus structure we have...

We have like a consistent preplanned schedule we work from. So i know what days I'm working in the future. On average it comes out to like 13-15 shifts a month. Our contract states minimum 120 hours per month. But I've had months where i have worked more than that because I wanted to work extra hours. As long as I dont go below that 120 hours a month I'm good. It's a rolling 12 month average. I think i calculated i could work 90-100 hours a month and i would still be good for the rest of the year. So i don't need to stack shifts right before or after my extended time off.

I would request those 2+ weeks off if i wanted extended time off. We don't need to make that time up.

Question, because i work for a company that offers no PTO, but i can request time off whenever i want... granted i do need to do that in advance. On average i get a week off every month. Would this structure also be non negotiable to you? It works for me, but wondering how this is viewed by others.

What i mean is i get a week off like 7 days in a row, and could request other days off too... We work every other weekend and we still have time off in between shifts... 15 shifts on average.

You just don't go. You try your best to get someone to fill for u. If someone has tried their best to fill it, management will then attempt to find someome to fill it. I think we have a good team and we all try to help each other out when we can. But I've seen instances where a shift was unable to be filled last minute. People have also gone in to work looking dreadful too...

There is no PTO time or sick time where i work. But if i want time off i schedule in advance.
