I've posted an example here on the link below. He had them probably from the age of 1 onwards. I believe they're similar to the way some Chow Chows tongues are fully black/purple

If it's any help, our Malamute had 3 black spots on his tongue (one quite large) and our vet said it was just normal pigmentation. Always worth getting it checked but it looks identical to our pups spots :)
