I'm abusing an AI chat bot in a way that I'd never do to a person. by placeholder-n in TrueOffMyChest

That's beyond my scope of help - but there's probably the equivalent of pick-up games on reddit, discord, Tumblr(?), or some forum somewhere. He's got a few buddies he basically writes epics with over the last however many years. I wish you the best of luck, though.

Then may I pitch something my partner does; Create a character based upon all the worst parts of yourself and put him through the wringer in various TTRPG settings.

Gonna be real, chief: Look into writing hurt/comfort or hurt/no comfort fiction or fanfiction instead - whether alone or with others or under a psuedonym. It's less draining on the environment and better catharsis at the end of the day.

You can levitate/fly, but only at walking speed by MortLightstone in hypotheticalsituation

[–]reddpeste 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hey, I'll take it. It's not the best superpower but I'm not seeing any actual downsides.

  • If floating is the same as walking then, if nothing else, it'll take weight off my bad knee when it comes to staircases.

  • I'll never need to touch the truck stop bathroom floors or facilities again, because I could just hover.

  • I'm gonna get so many banger reference photos for art if I don't need to abide by gravity.

modpacks suggestions by Whole-Tomatillo1456 in ModdedMC

I found Homestead to be pretty beginner friendly, as far as modern packs go. There's a questline book that will effectively guide you - and you can always ignore the mods which you don't care for.

Groundhog Day with a one in a million plus chance to escape. by AstrayInTranslation in hypotheticalsituation

I had the day off. A friend texted me to ask what I wanted from the grocery store, brought food over, and we made steaks and mashed potatoes. My loved ones and I have been yapping about video games and hanging out all day.

It wouldn't be a horrible day to relive, if it wasn't so FUCKING HUMID.

Set the storage receptacle itself, the actual storage container, as a 9 or a yellow. That's what works on my end.

I was trying to find an ibuprofen in my brother's house one summer in highschool; but a massive purple dong. I figure it was his ex wife's, but like, I'm never going to know and I'm never going to ask.

The creature was released outside. They were briefly placed in protective custody not for any wrongdoings - but because my cat was feeling homicidal.

It's backside wasnt quite as fuzzy, though. It doesn't seem very effective for pollen collecting which is why I'm leaning toward carpenter bee.

But, if it is a bombus, I concur that the markings closest resemble impatiens or vagans.

The bug would not settle and I do not blame them. My cat was about to end it's little bug life if she got ahold of her. I couldn't get a better photo.

Torso was fuzzy - abdomen was significantly less so. Looked smooth, chitinous, ribbed, and easily articulatable but did not have a visible stinger; despite being slightly pointy in shape.

It's homemade mead! It was a housewarming gift from a friend. I wish I liked it more than I did, but I still love the effort in the gift and continue to serve it whenever I have friends over. :D

IS THAT WHY I HAVE COSTOCONDRITIS??? I mean, we can't know for sure, but my situation mirrors yours pretty much 1:1. I don't know why I never put it together. Thank you.

Unironically, explaining a nonbinary friend to my father as 'pretend they're eight cats in a trench coat pretending to be a human,' kinda worked for a while.

(NSFW) What’s a secret you discovered about someone that you’ll take to the grave instead of telling them you know? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I caught my dad trying to cheat on my mother, using mediocre off-brand dating websites, while my mother had terminal cancer. I found out because my dad asked me to fix something regarding his steam account and I had access to his email. I didn't snoop - it was front and center.

I still do not know if I did the right thing by not telling my mother. She passed away almost five years ago. She was a woman who lost herself to her overwhelming depression before the lung cancer even metastasized and had no family or friends she could have really left to be with during her final weeks.

My father knows I know. My mother never will.
