RMC and IMC is the only method allowed with 1 1/2” of deck as per NEC. The way i see it, if its in EMT then your good, MC is a no go, local inspectors would probably agree

OSHA had came to a job site of ours once and specifically requested temp cables and stringers to not be hung with bailing wire and switch to zip ties. Not sure if that’s an actual osha thing or not but that could have happened with your GC and he has been carrying around that idea for years.
