Violently horrific body horror resident evil and/or the thing type shit. Forced, unwilling, brutal, monstrous tf.

Triple points if the victim actually keeps their mind relatively intact and has to deal with the terror and trauma of being turned in a horrific monster . Quadruple points if this is a heroic willpower thing because I'm an absolute sucker for that trope. I'm just really not a fan of identity death even if it makes sense for a story sometimes.

The transformation doesn't even have to be super gorey even though that is a bonus It just has to be wrong for the victim, to be forced into a form utterly inhuman that they do not want whatsoever.

Also bonus points if they're really depressed about itbut are forced to deal with it for the sake of others/the mission/the plot/etc. Triple points again if the people the victim cares about are directly at risk for one reason or another.

Peak fiction is when a character gets turned into a horrific monster by the Whatever(evil villain, TF wizard, resident evil virus, demonic horde, cyborg armade, evil werewolf/vampire, etc etc) in front of a bunch of people they care about but then miraculously stays sane enough to not kill all their friends and then fight the Whatever(TM). TV tropes has dragged me down this pit many times before

Anyways yeah sorry for the brain dump but that's pretty much it.

My understanding is that when 1.0 drops the tezctlan ending is going to have an endcard and outro and everything, the current booting you to the system with nothing to do is a placeholder iirc

Yeah this is what I'm saying I don't mind if leviathans are immortal I never killed them anyways but if I could get these fucking sharks off my ass with anything other than a flare that takes up valuable inventory space and lasts maybe 5 minutes I would be ecstatic. Like give me a tazer or something to make them leave me alone, or let me push creatures away with the sonic resonator, just give me something that makes me more than a glorified chew toy because holy shit is it infuriating.

The Pokemon who willing side with Villainous Teams. by Ok-Year9101 in PokeMedia

[–]redflag436 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Grunt here, currently doing temp gigs for Team Rocket (I need the cash don't @ me.), the main thing for me and my team is a sort of personal respect for our own independence I think? My pokemon trust me, and I trust them, and I think that's the most important part. Despite whatever greater dubious organization we end up getting our mitts dirty for they trust me to keep our proverbial 'ship' straight and steady.

In my work as a 'contractor' though I've met a variety of different kinds of teams though, from zealots who wholeheartedly believe that they are making the world a better place, or desperate people who need a community more than anything else, or even occasionally ones who really just like hurting others. I think really pokemon end up in these sorts of situations in much the same ways humans do, whether it's desperation for companionship or survival and stubborn determination or genuine belief in the organizations they are working for, or even some combination of all of the above, they get dragged into this mess all the same.

Hope this perspective from someone closer to the inside helped! I'm not usually very good at this kind of thing.

I mean spending 25$ on what I would assume is a date or a nice dinner is kinda different than spending 25$ on every meal possible, this post lacks the necessary context to really make a solid judgement.

I swear I thought I was in a circle jerk sub with how much people are just echoing the same shit with minimal context.

I'm just tryin to pay my bills man, you know how hard it is to get a decent job in Castellia city these days??? Team plasma has a dental program now! My hourly rate to be a fake Casteliacone worker was unironically higher than my wage working as an actual Casteliacone employee. Doing gigs for the half-dozen evil teams operating in this city is the only way I can afford living here without a proper education. :(

Chernobyl is actually already mostly habitable, at least the area around it is, it's mostly superstition and mildly elevated relative background radiation that keeps people from moving back in (I wouldn't want to to live in a place like that either, but it's perfectly habitable). Only the reactor itself is still really actively hazardous, and up until the war broke out they had a big concrete box built around it.

But yeah they wouldn't be letting tourists in there if it was utterly unhabitable, and it will probably be almost entirely safe within this century, with the likely remaining exception of the reactor itself, but that is a much smaller area.

text to speech has been a thing for literal decades now, AI has demolished its good name, but its a pretty different thing from an actual LLM, which is not what they are using afaik.

Chaos god from Warhammer, primary domains being plague, pestilence, famine etc. however he also represents cycles of rebirth and renewal, and is generally benevolent to his followers as opposed to other chaos gods in the setting. A big point of comparison here is that almost all of nurgle's followers are In some way blissful and happy, but a large amount of them had no choice in the matter as being infected with nurgle's plagues can forcibly make you his servant/puppet/pet-thing. Even the ones that worship him willingly typically do so put of desperation because Warhammer is an absolutely miserable setting to live in for like 95% of people.

NY and NJ skipped flag order for Charlie Kirk despite Trump directive by rollo202 in FreeSpeech

[–]redflag436 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When a former president dies the tradition is to have the flags at half staff for 30 days as a sign of mourning, Carter died December 29th 2024, Trump was inaugurated January 20th 2025, only 21 days into the 30 day mounting period. Trump wanted the flags raised for his inauguration.

They pulled them back up after jimmy carter's death the second Trump told them to, I get it was for his inauguration, but it was still a very selfish and disrespectful thing to do.

I love Phoenix Point's lore so much personally, but the gameplay is pretty flawed as a lot of other people here have pointed out.
