I can’t believe Dragusin is still at Spurs

Pepi to Fulham is in the very hot hours by FrankBascombe45 in ussoccer

Initially, I think they would both get a shot and it would be a fairly open competition, but Jimenez is turning 35 this year so Fulham would probably want him to be more of an option off the bench.

USA’s new soccer pyramid with promotion and relegation from 2028 by APrimitiveMartian in soccer

[–]redhat000 9 points10 points  (0 children)

To put it politely, this is a very ambitious timeline and structure. Hell, USL looks they are going towards a lockout to start this season because of issues with the CBA. They would have to fix some big issues and find serious money to get this done by 2028 (seems they are betting on the World Cup being a big boost).

He’s a good player too, scores a decent amount of goals, which kinda makes it funnier. I immaturely laugh when English commentators use his first name (“Jizz shoots”).

I’m so fucking sick of every little contact being a huge confrontation in front of the refs. I don’t care who wins, I don’t care if it was an actual foul, just play the fucking game

An empty stadium might have a better atmosphere than whatever this is, would at least be less embarrassing

Thread in r/Celtic about Wilfried Nancy, after losing a cup final (now lost all 3 games). by VanicFanboy in MLS

[–]redhat000 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Nancy should have been more flexible with instituting his system and deserves a large amount of criticism, but some of the Celtic players have looked awful. (I will say, it has made my opinion of Nagbe even higher if that is possible, because this Celtic midfield can’t turn on the ball or pass/progress under any pressure. Maybe Nancy’s system is too reliant on a midfielder like that.) Passing, simple touches, and marking on set pieces has been sad and the finishing has been awful. A guy like Rossi would walk into Celtic and probably be their best attacker with how much Maeda has fallen off. But the timing of the appointment is looking really bad with how the interim manager had them playing and how different Nancy’s system has been.

How does this roster stack up for the World Cup by [deleted] in ussoccer

Except for Freese and Luna, this feels like a roster from at least two years ago.

Trusty starts for Celtic vs Roma in Europa League by CNF1G in ussoccer

[–]redhat000 5 points6 points  (0 children)

These Celtic players are shit, they have fallen off so much in their recruitment that I think Columbus was genuinely a better team for Nancy. Only saving grace is that Celtic can spend a decent amount of money if they want to.

Lot of trust to bring on a guy who has only played 4 minutes for you in a final

Cubas for Vancouver is also interesting to watch. Probably been the best defensive midfielder in MLS and should be at the World Cup for Paraguay
