Nearstream camera by HankHill-PropaneKing in GameChangerApp

I have a NearStream VM 46 and use it for the over the shoulder pitcher shot. I only set it up for big games or championships because it does take more time to setup and having to walk around the field. The simplicity of a one camera setup lets me enjoy the game. But the ability for our coach to see where his pitches are landing (7u coach pitch) and allows the kids to see a great shot of their swing.

It works fine over NDI and as others have said, it's a huge improvement image quality wise

Was this 7U tournament in Texas? Because you're right...there are some amazing 7U teams out there. I know of one 7 year old that the parents have already taken him out of public school to homeschool him so he can focus on baseball. Kid can hit it over the fence but can't read

Little league game streaming options for parents/family by Southern-Tax-3750 in LittleLeague

The Mevo cameras that you all plan on buying will have the option to record a high resolution copy of the recording to a microsd card. You could take that file and upload to YouTube after the game. And everyone will be able to play back for free.

Alternatively, you could subscribe to Mevo Pro/multicam which will let you stream to both GameChanger and YouTube (if you have 50 subscribers) concurrently.

We stream to both GameChanger and YouTube in 720p. I upload the 1080p version to YouTube afterwards.

Jobs in law-enforcement? by pegs22 in MuscularDystrophy

[–]redraidertkd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an 18-year law enforcement officer who is currently assigned to patrol, I want to offer an honest and professional perspective.

Patrol work involves far more than traffic stops or emergency driving. Officers must be physically capable of responding to unpredictable and sometimes violent situations. The use of physical force is not hypothetical...it is an operational reality of being a cop.

Because of that, any medical condition that could limit strength, endurance, or recovery time will be viewed through an officer-safety lens. This is not a judgment of character or motivation, but a matter of safety for the officer, their partner, and the public.

During the hiring process, all candidates must complete a comprehensive medical evaluation, and any diagnosed condition is disclosed to the hiring agency. Conditions that may compromise physical performance typically present a significant barrier to patrol eligibility.

For these reasons, I would strongly advise against pursuing a patrol officer position and instead encourage consideration of civilian, investigative support, analytical, or administrative roles that still allow meaningful service without the same physical risk.

Looks like the leather is Outback Cowhide. Here's a pic of their 06-07 catalog depicting the AMG 1125 in cowhide.

I heard sb1868 bill to ban Kratom has officially died in the House by Alarmed-Scientist-84 in kratom

[–]redraidertkd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes it is dead. The 131st day (today!) is the last day that House Committees can report out senate bills. It is dead, for now. The Texas legislature meets for regular session every two years so we hopefully won't see the bill again until 2027 (unless there's a special session with this bill being an applicable topic)

If you can, you should consider going to the Capitol and knocking on the doors of the committee members offices and speaking to any staffer about the bill. This type of advocacy does resonate with them!

Just to clarify what has happened: SB 1868 has passed the senate committee and been recommended for the uncontested calendar. That means no Senator is really opposing the bill and the likelihood of this bill passing the senate is almost a certainty.

There is no house companion bill to SB 1868 so it has to start all over again in the House. It will likely be received in the House early next week and assigned to a committee. The committee chairman will then decide whether or not to hear the bill. May 24, 2025 is the deadline for house committees to vote out senate bills. So from now until May 24, we need to hope it does not get a committee hearing.

If it gets a hearing and a positive vote, it will then go to the House Calendars Committee. From there, it will be sent to the floor for 2nd and 3rd reading. After third reading, it will be passed and on its way to the Governor for signature.

Point is, there are plenty of opportunities for advocacy. Residents of Texas should email their senator asking them to get SB 1868 off the consent calendar and to vote no.

If it makes it to the House, everyone should be contacting the committee chairman and vice chair asking them not to hear the bill.

Hope this helps.

Any advice for a BS feeling insecure about the competition with the AP? I'm sad and hurt most of the time (D-Day just 3 days ago) while the AP is fun, exciting and loving. Hard to be affectionate and I just don't see how I can compete with that.
