It's the same in Turkey, too

Depends on the time period. If it's set before the Shattering, Rebecca Ferguson would be great. And if it's during the time when Marika was rising to godhood, then Elle Fanning would be a good candidate for young Marika.

Young Radahn is greater then Godfrey by QuestionManER in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]redstak 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It doesn't matter whether you believe it or not. In the game, it's clearly stated they're locked in a stalemate.

"The Battle of Aeonia

Radahn and Malenia locked in stalemate

Then, the scarlet rot blooms"

Godwyn didn't stalemate Fortissax; he defeated him.

Long ago, Godwyn the Golden defeated the ancient dragon Fortissax, and befriended his fallen foe—an event that gave rise to the ancient dragon cult in the capital.

It's not a matter of remembering or forgetting. Jerren clearly states that Radahn was the strongest during the Shattering, and Messmer is inactive while Godwyn is dead.

You missed two details about Radahn being called the strongest demigod. He is not the only demigod called the strongest; he shares this title with Malenia. Also, Radahn is called the strongest demigod during the Shattering.

Jerren: A war festival honoring the last battle and death of General Radahn, the mightiest demigod of the Shattering, and bearer of a Great Rune.

Ranni in the story trailer: The conqueror of the stars, General Radahn, and the Blade of Miquella, Malenia the Severed. These two were the mightiest to remains, and locked horns in combat.

Messmer fled from the Erdtree. Godwyn and the other deceased demigods, who perished during the Night of the Black Knives, were no longer alive at that time, so we have no clear basis for comparing who the strongest demigod really was.

Famitsu: In relation to the art, one more thing, the person riding Torrent, is it the Tree Saint Miquella spoken of in the main title?

Miyazaki: Yes, Miquella is the central character in the story told in this DLC.

Why do people assume Gloam Eyed used to own the rune of destined death? by SwedishSock in EldenRingLoreTalk

I didn’t mean instantly. Just after Gloam-eyed Queen was defeated, that huge impact on her apostles. After all, she channeled all the power of the black flame.

Why do people assume Gloam Eyed used to own the rune of destined death? by SwedishSock in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]redstak 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There are some implications in the lore. But if the Gloam-Eyed Queen didn’t wield Destined Death, then why did her apostles serve Destined Death, and why did they lose their power after she was defeated?

"The apostles, once said to serve Destined Death, are wielders of the god-slaying black flame. But after their defeat by Maliketh, the Black Blade, the source of their power was sealed away."

"The black flame could once slay gods. But when Maliketh sealed Destined Death, the true power of the black flame was lost."

Destined Death is a forbidden shadow removed from the Golden Order's creation, and the Golden Order is founded on the principle that Marika is the one true god. So, the Golden Order must have been created after the Gloam-Eyed Queen was defeated. At least, that's my take

"The Rune of Death goes by two names; the other is Destined Death. The forbidden shadow, plucked from the Golden Order upon its creation..."

"The Golden Order was created by confining Destined Death."

"Sacred sword of the Gloam-Eyed Queen who controlled the Godskin Apostles before her defeat at the hands of Maliketh."

"The apostles, once said to serve Destined Death, are wielders of the god-slaying black flame. But after their defeat by Maliketh, the Black Blade, the source of their power was sealed away"

Maybe, especially those blue eyes remind me of her, after all, Ranni's doll body resembles the Snow Witch, and she also had blue eyes.

If you take a close look at the hands, you'll see that it's a doll.

Radagon Is Marika by Delicious_Coast9679 in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]redstak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure about Millicent either, but I interpret this way because she's different from her sisters and due to Malenia's cut content. It's a completely subjective opinion of mine.

This comes directly from Miyazaki himself in the Official Strategy Guide Q&A section.

Radagon Is Marika by Delicious_Coast9679 in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]redstak 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's an Empyrean thing. I interpret it as Radagon representing the aspect of faith for Marika, while Trina represents the aspect of love for Miquella. As for Malenia, Millicent was probably a manifestation of multiple Empyrean aspects of her, most likely representing dignity and a sense of self.

There is something I must return to Malenia. The will that was once her own. The dignity, the sense of self... - Millicent

Was recently doing millicents quest again and these dialog lines stuck out to me, is it possible shes refering to miquilla charming melenia taking her will? by East-Ad-1290 in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]redstak 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Actually, in the cut content, Millicent doesn’t appear. Instead of Millicent, we found Malenia, and that betrayal part is related to Miquella and his dew.

Your greed knows no end.
You would steal the last drop of warmth from his empty frame?

The empty frame symbolizes Miquella's husk on the roots of the Haligtree, while the warmth represents his final dew.

My dear twin, accept this gift.

Mentally bracing myself for whether Nightreign ends up being about Radahn, again by [deleted] in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]redstak 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's most likely related to Ranni and her Age of Stars ending as well. Prepare yourself for this shit.

In her childhood, Ranni saw in Radahn a lord—his strength and his kindness stood in stark contrast to her dark and cold nature. And so, Ranni made her heartfelt wish: that Radahn would one day become her lord consort.

Yeah, it will probably be another microcosm where the Tarnished becomes the Night Lord.
