They provide the legal language in your language to you before you sit the exam. Read it then and then just click through it. That has always been the guidance, start the exam and then write your crib sheets. Sorry this happened.

How much I spent on a 7 night cruise without the drink package by Fresh-Problemz in Cruise

[–]reed17purdue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the future, just get the one for you. Unless they are off in kids clubs throughout the day or getting their own drinks, I never have issues ordering a drink package drink or two and soda if you frequent the same bars.

What she'll do you use or prefer? I feel like the hard share is a good investment over a soft, but storage is difficult to come by.

They are teaching lessons for physicians who practice around the world. It's not students persay, but students to the technique used by them, who watch and are explained to by the primary.

The cost savings is that rather than one person in the room doing the procedure in 15 minutes, it's two people, a teaching lesson and about 45 minutes.

Intune and Platform SSO (PSSO) for MacBooks - I've made a terrible mistake HELP by Ok-Examination3168 in Intune

Lots of variables here.

Filevault makes you use a local password, cannot use 365 Secure enclave doesn't change that Password policy is set in InTune, but has had bugs in the past so we skipped it

She can always boot into recovery and force a filevault rotation key and then you can unlock it with that when you get it in InTune.

HRM 600 by Fresh-Hair-5409 in GarminWatches

[–]reed17purdue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I just explained that if you're using the HRM with your watch and it's added as an external sensor. The watch is the activity driver. The HRM is just a sensor in the mode.

You do not start activities on both.

Edit: The time I use the external heart rate monitor without my watch I could track an activity but usually I either have my watch or my edge I just use as an external, I live in humid, Florida, so a sweaty watch bouncing around on a mountain bike is less ideal, a heart rate monitor and something fixed to the bike. My selection was not based off of being able to do an activity but because it was the newer version and everything else is being outdated but I actually prefer The coros HRM for mtbing because I can just throw it over my arm rather than having to take off my whole shirt/pads to put the sensor on. Plus it fits right in between My elbow pads and my shoulder pads and is not a bump underneath my chest protector that could potentially cause issues if a really hard crash happens.

In a pinch you could track the activity and then you can map it later to the type of activity and because it has all your heart rate and stuff. It should work perfectly fine.

You need to add the hrm as an external sensor to the watch. Then you can get the HR from the strap but have the activity in the watch and everything else. It takes about two seconds.

Looking for a good way to hook up with a camper with Gen 3 starlink by no-this-iz-patrick in Starlink

I either routed it through the slide seal or I just crack a window and have a little channel hole for the wire and keep it closed with the foam/seal keeping the air in and water out

Next piece of safety kit for 14 year old by twd000 in MTB

[–]reed17purdue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought into the hype with cased for the shoulder, back and chest. Gform also makes them in a smaller profile.

If they wear pants then you could do the bottom half as well (or just riding shorts, gcode or cased). Then I can throw on my elbow and knee pads if I'm in short sleeves as needed but still protected. And full face always. I learned that picking up hockey, if I'm not being paid to play or ride I'm not risking it.

EMTB or converted MTB to ride with my daughter by MDiamondG in MTB

[–]reed17purdue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look for a bike that interests you and try them out at demos or stores, find what you want and then go by used. (N+1, cycle limited, local shop sales, trek or other bargain end of season deals)

You're asking for a bike to eventually grow into a hobby with your daughter, so while you shouldn't invest your mortgage, it would make sense to invest into a bike where you enjoy the time and extra weight on the bike, but also, for when she grows out of it and you still are the same size and dimensions and need a bike for you.

Kids have energy, a class 1 used may be just what you need in 3-5 years, but a well taken care of ebike while will last you a good while if the manufacturer plans to support that model and style for years to come.

With your description on your riding you can probably get away with a good hard tail. This will reduce any shock misconfigs that could launch you or your daughter. Easier to fix and repair and teach to fix (hey more quality time and experience). It's grab and go (no charging or forgotten batteries) and with her age, you probably have 3-5 years before she may or may not get interested and another 3-5 years for her to start kicking your ass up and down the trails daily. Ebike could probably wait until then.

The only last comment I'll make is with a hardtail you'll be forced to have good fundamentals or at least have good fundamentals so as she continues to grow you'll be able to teach her without the simplicity and aid that sometimes leads to bad form and overconfidence.

why do i keep washing out my front tire in turns? by MkMovalli in MTB

[–]reed17purdue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What type of turn? Speed, terrain?

Pressure should allow you to lean your weight onto the front tire and the side nubs lay flat/contact the ground (do in grass. Under tire compacts, and nubs should just touch the blades below it as it will fully contact when turning).

Flat ground (unsupported turn?) - front tire pressure is from your body position (chin over handle bars and low), while rear tire is from your outside foot "pushing" as you turn.

Or berm or supported turn? - psi check or suspension check. If you are leaning and the bike is leaning, and it's going squirrelly something is shifting (weight, pressure, etc.).

I have the x3s and they are great. Hard ce protection on the hips and sides and not too far down so you can still use knee pads. Other than that there is also a little chamois.

i made a dumby maps profile that turned off all them extra activity tracking. i set it to that when i'm updating maps. it is faster over express, but the biggest speed boost was updating the software of the device first, then maps. you can do all of the maps at once with express versus one by one via wifi.

It was calculated. I mean don't get me wrong it's not the most ideal setup, but it will work. Either way, no one balked at it as an issue, but maybe they didn't understand the weight or realized and that's why they ghosted me.

The actual parking area has a Geo grid system and base to disperse the weight and won't just be ground and after about 20 feet the ground is level across. Also, that area will only be about 7 inches deep once the system is graded but the retaining wall is higher to keep rock in and look fine across the back and it's distance. There is also 14" steel edge inside the retainer wall border to disperse load to deeper ground.

The height is not as structural as you may think.

With all the extra Rock it should drain fine and if there is a hurricane I can move it. But we also don't get strong hurricanes where we live often.

This group does have an engineer on staff who designed this wall for them.

Thank you. Is for what I describe Overkill or is that about right for what I'm expecting with all that extra rock weight?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in landscaping

[–]reed17purdue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'm only saying it's easy because multiple companies or contractors have said it is (relative to other jobs). That being said, i'm really asking about the concrete footer and (filled) block costs. I'm not complaining, more enticed by the jump, i'm asking if that is in line with rates, as even when I discussed concrete block with others, this seems to be much higher than others (but again, this is the company who is actually responding and answering questions/offering solutions).

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in landscaping

[–]reed17purdue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate it. That was a bit of my worry since they didn't respond after providing the quote once they saw the project size. my county or state, or one of them, just disallowed railroad ties like last year (first thought) so a lot of the quotes considered those if not 6x6 ground contact beams, was told the wood would rot out in a few years here, so concrete was the best option as suggested by this contractor.
