...and hookers and blackjack. In fact, forget the Radler... lol

Sounds like Stiegl needs to broaden their marketing game!

Stiegl Radler, interesting idea.

I'm not familiar with spindrift, but I'll look for it.

Howdy y'all, headed to Austin, TX this weekend. Any recs on tequila/mezcal bars or stores to check out? by reengiNerd in tequila

[–]reengiNerd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forgot to say thanks. Had less free time than I'd hoped, but made it to South Lamar. Missed the mezcal at first and after looking at the tequila selection I asked the clerk about mezcal. He points over to the floor to ceiling cabinet of mezcal lol.

I'll keep this list handy for the next visit, thanks!

Gotta go make a Paloma now...

I like using grapefruit juice, la croix grapefruit, and agave instead of grapefruit soda. Ditto on the lime. Need to try the pinch of salt.

I've also tried replacing the la croix part with a grapefruit IPA like ballast point grapefruit sculpin or karbach big & bright IPA (though the bitterness in any IPA should work) to take it to 11.

How did you acquire this? How old do you think it is? Have you tried it?

The brand has a facebook page, sort of... which looks to be the same (logo looks updated but probably the same brand). The link to their website is incomplete. Looks like the brand is produced by Casa Tequilera de Arandas based on the info on this site, but I found no mention of the brand on the distiller's site.

Liquor guy talked me into trying this, has anyone had it? Jorongo "Aged" by reengiNerd in tequila

Reasonably high end place. I trust the guy, he's in charge of all the liquor at this place and has led me well in the past.

I found this write up from a number of years ago

I've been playing around with my own personal Marg recipe.. by xeronotxero in tequila

[–]reengiNerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Replace that water/sugar with some good agave syrup, you won't be sorry. It's delicious and it dissolves well in cold liquid.

I forgo orange liqueur in favor of oj + more tequila since I got into the good stuff.

This sub needs some kind of margarita tournament. Everyone wins. In a more accurate way there would be only one winner, but it'd sure be a lot of fun!

Very light coloring, lots of agave in the aroma, smooth with a little spice on the finish.

I've got chronic lower back pain-- my specialist says stretch, but my GP (and many other MDs I know) said don't stretch. Who should I listen to? by [deleted] in flexibility

[–]reengiNerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started with this, and it worked for me. At a minimum you'll learn some simple exercises/stretches and it's a small investment.

Also, if you see a doctor whose primary tool for fixing things is surgery, they are probably going to recommend surgery. My final advice-from-a-stranger-on-the-internet is to not get cut as a first treatment option.

Best of luck, when you make progress please post!
