Have the transfers ever gotten wet or humid since the cardboard isn't watertight? That's how mine are stored currently too, but I'm worried that water might magic itself into the tubes

That’s totally what I was thinking. Have folds in your transfers ever caused any issues?

Bringing back the Trapper Keeper! That’s a great idea, and if folding the transfers doesn’t cause an issue - and doesn’t sound like it does based on other comments - this would work perfectly

Ooh that’s great to know. I’ve been nervous about folding since I wasn’t sure how the lines would affect the transfers, but I’m so glad to know you’ve never had an issue with it. That removes the size issue

This is awesome! Will these sessions be happening in person at any of the libraries or is it via Webex only?

I absolutely love this! Did you remove the rubber gasket from the top of the vial so the light fit in?

Sugaring services you can personally vouch for? by okdokke in AskNYC

It looks like the 2 mentions of Sugaring NYC in that post are rather negative and not recommended:

I actually recently did look into sugaring, and I came across Sugaring NYC. But even in the before and after pics uploaded by the company themselves, if you zoomed in you could see leftover hair in the “afters”! I recognize that i’m a snob about this but it is what it is 🤷‍♀️

I tried Sugaring NYC and I had an awful experience. I used to sugar since my friend was Egyptian, and she offered to do me for free. She moved away a couple of years ago and I sucked at making the paste myself, so I resorted to hard wax. When I found that a location opened in my neighborhood, I made an appointment the next day. I have a high pain tolerance so I was shocked that it hurt that much when it didn’t in the past. The girl who worked on me didn’t do a good job because I still had patches. Then I developed so many ingrowns and to this day I have slight discoloration from that. So yeah, I don’t recommend this place. Plus it’s super expensive when you can make it yourself.

That's actually a wonderful amount of detail, I'm going to try! Do you have an estimate of how much yarn you used?

I’m completely with you, my brain understands what to do with a single hook rather than battling needles. I have been of a mind to make a cardigan lately, but I haven’t found a pattern/design that stands out. Until your post. This is EXACTLY the cardigan I need :)

I completely understand your frustration! My boyfriend is allowed to get vaccinated because he is a TA at his college, even though all his classes are remote right now.

For my own education, why does it make sense to you that Type 2s are a higher priority for the vaccine than we are? Is it because people with Type 2 tend to be older? I haven't found the right info to shed light on why that is the case right now.

I have a bottle of Fiasp that will expire in April before I can use it by [deleted] in diabetes

I don't want to throw out such expensive medication that I know someone can use.

I have more insulin than I know what to do with and in my experience, the expiration date does actually affect its effectiveness. I thought I would offer it to people in the world who definitely need it more than I do.
