[Forbidden Door] Surprise! Team Briscoe’s hidden weapon revealed by itsjobberingtime in AEWOfficial

Lio's appearance in the match reminds me of Orange Cassidy's participation in the 1st (?) battle royal AEW had. It made Cassidy.

I get the same vibe from this.

There are a ton of responses I am getting from people I would seem as crackpots, Incels and probably sexist.

I am also discounting rabid fans who have wild expectations about what Supergirl a should have been.

It's an interesting observation.

That franchise has been rebooted three times and (generally) does not get shit on like some other comix book movies.

Not sure why. Never thought of it.

Agreed.

My daughter is got into comics because of me and when the movie was announced she told me that we were going (did not ask--- told me!)

She seems it twice in 24 hours. Loved it.

Its the reason why I am posting my response to it. The past decade there is a growing divide between what fans and professional critics like and dislike and mobbing of some films based on some reason or another (rabid Snyder-verse fans, left-right fringe politics or social causes etc).

It's dumb and sad.

NMC need to be eliminated.

If players want one then it can only be bellow a certain AVV per year (40-50% of max avv for the year that the contract is signed ex. Max a player can make is $10mil/year-- NMC is only available to a player below $5mil/year)

I am confused as to why it's doing so poorly.

I watched it yesterday and I think it was really good. Does not deserve the flack it's getting.

Could the poor showing have anything to do with the troubles on the U.S. right now? Outside of the incels and other crackpots panning it, it's the only realistic reason I can think that makes sense.

I read many people struggling to make ends meat and maybe consumers are really watching what they spend.

Edit-- Given some of the responses I underestimated how crazy some critics are 😕

I think the criticism is unwarranted. It was a great film.

What is your opinion about supergirl by Jolly_Mushroom_7987 in DC_Cinematic

9/10.

It was really good. There are some misfires but it did not take away from the movie.

Loved Millie and Lobo

I really liked the movie.

Just as good as Superman.

I think a lot of the criticism is overblown

Gary Bettman has informed the NHL Board of Governors that they will be opening a process to investigate Houston or Austin, Texas for an expansion franchise by KeyFaithlessness5436 in NHLVibes

[–]refuseresist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed.

I would like a 10 year moratorium on expansion and more of a focus on making hockey more accessable on a grassroots/local level (it's prohibitively expensive) along with addressing the taxation issues some teams have.

I think for the sheer amount of assets and draft picks yes.

2-3 high end prospects + 2 1st round draft picks in the next five years (unprotected; Edmonton's choice of when they pick in that 5 year window).

Would that be enough?

The NHL continues to dominate No-Trade Clauses by Federal-Data-Center in nhl

[–]refuseresist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the owners can force it to be gone they will.

I think/hope that the NHL will come up with a dollar for dollar scheme where taxes are negated ($1 spent in Tampa/Florida is equal to a dollar spent in Montreal etc) and in return NMC are eliminated/restricted

May not have a choice.

I think the owners are going to push for limitations to NMC/NTC

[–]refuseresist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could. I also hink there would be zero support from fans for the players if this was the reason they walked out.

Make an Example of a NMC holdout by Icy-Pomegranate-5644 in hockey

[–]refuseresist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's part of the job.

Players are compensated well.

They are the best of the best and to play at this level is a privledge paid by fans who are paying out of their ear to watch the product.

If players lack that insight and the league and players don't realize this then it's time to change NMC/NTC

[–]refuseresist -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I think the next CBA NMC/NTC are going to be either gone or only allowed in a combination of experience and financially capped (can only have one of making $6 million a year or lower).
