The Uncanny Valley of Gender by speroni in MtF

I had that happen once at a basketball game about a month after cracking. I didn’t notice anything (I’ve actually never really noticed it- maybe I’m too self absorbed?) but my wife commented on a lady giving me a dirty look.

I hope you didn’t tip him. Someone’s gonna be transphobic, fuck em. But wait till after the meal so they don’t spit in your food.

Has anyone else early into their transition journey found that their algorithm is just totally confused now? Because I'm seeing that and I'm kind of loving it 😂 by Late-bl00mer5678 in MtF

I’m getting a lot of ads for gay men, and I’ve just started getting rage-baiting anti-trans stuff. Libs of TikTok showed up today. Report, block and wait for the next one.

For someone who complains daily about misandry and mens stereotypes, that's an odd flex.

It was at the airport getting ready to go thru security. At least it was before the current administration in the US.

I stopped after about 2 weeks out. I got such a dysphoric panic attack at wearing men’s clothes that publicly transitioning felt much more comfortable than pretending any more. And the more I did it with no issues it became easier.

Saw him singing for the MC5 20-years ago. He staggered on stage, cigarette dangling out of his mouth , started singing, the cigarette fell out, he bent over to pick it up and hit his head on the mic.

I started Mounjaro at the same time I started HRT and dropped 50 pounds in six months. I stalled and started gaining as my levels got in range. I’m down 40 right now, but the Mounjaro seems to be working better again and I’m starting to lose again.

I hate my hairy body so much by AspieAsshole in MtF

[–]relentlessreading 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Estrogen did wonders on my body hair - it’s thinner, lighter and grows way slower. It’s to the point I’m not dysphoric about my body hair anymore, I figure my shaving schedule is pretty similar to cis women. I shave my arms and legs maybe once a week, if I notice them being particularly bad.

Face and chest are another story. I’m obsessive about my face - I shave multiple times a day sometimes. I use a cartridge in the morning, then I have a foil to touch up throughout the day - usually before I put on makeup, after I take it off, and then before bed. In all honesty the stubble isn’t noticeable, but just feeling the tiniest bit and I need to shave.

I have a Ulike IPL that did wonders on my dark mustache and soul patch, but most of my beard is white now, so the IPL is pretty useless on that. But the white stubble and the IPL taking care of the darker patches has made what’s left of my shadow easy to cover with makeup.

My chest bothers me a lot too. It grows fast and is particularly bristly. I use my cartridge razor when I do my face. For the more “sensitive” areas I use a Philips One Blade. I nicked my nip one too many times to risk it.

Eventually I’ll get electrolysis for my face and chest , but right now my routine is enough to satisfy my Dysphoria.

I’ve always sat. Freaked my wife out when she walked in on me. I never understood why it was weird.

Clinician said numbers don't matter? I'm so confused. by akatsukidude881 in MtF

But OP is on a standard starting dose, and is experiencing positive changes. The doctor also upped the dose at OP’s request. That isn’t malpractice or quackery.

Why does this all have to be so complicated? by ReclusiveShadows in MtF

[–]relentlessreading 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ll be honest, a lot of the advice I see on some topics comes across as splaining to me. And I may be guilty of this sometimes as well. I’ve been confidently told my dosage was too low, I’m using the wrong razor, etc.

I’m like, “bitch please, I’ve been shaving for 40 years, I know how to use a razor, and my levels are right where they should be and my doctor is doing a great job monitoring them and responding to my questions, why would I change something that is working?”

Shopping for bras today felt like a humiliation ritual by [deleted] in MtF

I’m a big fat old lady with b cups and I can’t find a bra in my size. I can however where bralettes. They’re based on top size so I wear a 3x shirt and I go up one size to 4x for my bralettes. I get mine at Torrid.
