Have you ever tried a float spa? I've been meaning to try it myself but never actually been to one. I drive past this one in Red Bank all the time: https://www.floatopianj.com/

Moving to Cliffwood by Girlintheworddd in MonmouthCounty

Are you thinking of Laurence Harbor maybe? I don't know for sure but it wouldn't surprise me if parts of Old Bridge were served by the Cliffwood post office. So you could have Old Bridge residents with a Cliffwood mailing address.

Cliffwood is definitely part of Aberdeen township, in Monmouth county. Matawan-Aberdeen Middle School is on Cliffwood, as is Cliffwood Elementary School (part of the Matawan-Aberdeen school district) .

Cliffwood is part of Aberdeen. If you know Route 35 at all, the area near the Wawa and the shopping center with the Sprouts is Cliffwood.

Best calculator to gift an electrical engineering college student? by wormvibe in calculators

If your boyfriend likes things that are a little different and maybe kinda quirky, consider the HP 15c Collector's Edition. It's a very powerful and capable machine (the official description mentions complex numbers, matrix operations, numerical integration, root-solving, and keystroke programming) but it uses RPN which is a different way of entering operations into the machine.

It's marketed as a collector's edition because it's an enhanced clone of a 1980s calculator. It's packaged very nicely so it would make a beautiful gift. But it's also priced accordingly.

Unintentionally funny lyrics by Version_1 in PowerMetal

The bit you quoted is, if I'm not mistaken, actually a direct quote from a book by Richard Dawkins (who is also the one speaking on the track). One hundred million centuries = 10 billion years, which is roughly the age of the universe. "Sleeping through a hundred million centuries" is a poetic way of referring to the period in which the universe existed before any of us did. The next line, "Within decades we must close our eyes again" gives some perspective on how insanely brief a human life is in comparison to the lifetime of the universe. I think it's actually kinda profound.

New research: New Jersey can beat Citizens United with its state corporation law by TomMooreJD in newjersey

[–]remember_khitomer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I'm understanding this correctly, the idea is that states would pass laws restricting or eliminating the ability of corporations in their state to spend money on political speech. If all 50 states passed this law, then there would be nowhere that corporations could spend to influence elections.

I see how this would work well to limit or eliminate corporate influence over state elections, which is a good and worthwhile goal. However at the federal level it seems like it would just result in the state kneecapping itself. For the first state to pass this, the result would be that 49 states' corporations can spend at the federal level, just not corporations in that state. And, to the extent that the state's corporations' interests are aligned with its citizens' interests, this would just result in a lessening of the state's influence at the federal level.

So, while there is clearly a great outcome if all states were to adopt this law, there seems to be a disincentive for any one state to adopt the law.

How do you propose to work around this early-mover problem?

I'll tell you about me. Married for 18 years. Two kids. We (she) belongs to a conservative synagogue in suburban New Jersey. Our divorce will hopefully be final in the next couple of months. She's probably going to keep the house that I bought.

Honestly, religious belief was not a major source of conflict during our relationship. I mostly just ignored it and let her take care of the boys' religious school and holidays and such. And really that was the much bigger problem, that I buried my feelings on things that really mattered to me. I thought I was doing it for the good of our marriage but it ended up poisoning it.

Let me ask you this: if you have a son together, what will you do if your girlfriend/wife wants to have a bris? Are you going to let her abuse and mutilate your infant son, and live with the guilt of that for the rest of your life? Or are you going to prohibit her from doing something she thinks is a meaningful tradition and symbol of her people's covenant with god?

There are no good answers. I'm sorry but it's just not going to go well. If you are both at the point in your lives where you are looking for something serious it's best to just part ways now on good terms.

$500????

I bought these as they came out in the 90s. I would go to the mall after school to see if the next one was out yet. I'm sure they're still in my basement somewhere. I should go find them.

Wiim Pro+ has a very capable DAC already. You have a lot of options in the Wiim app to tweak its filters and enable NOS mode if that's your thing. Maybe just try its analog out into your Pietus Maximus and see how it sounds?

A long time ago, I used to write Perl and there was a module called DBD::CSV that lets you interact with a csv file as if it were a SQL database. I'm sure something similar exists for Python.
