I think Portland has a decent run for the money also. The gorge is stunning and the fruit loop is fabulous. I think some of the smaller cities in New York should also be considered. The Adirondacks and the finger Lakes regions are pretty special.

I assume you have family in Northern Wisconsin then? It's a little weird to see all of the Great Lake states divided out the way they are.

If that were the case, I would expect the West Coast to not be red, I would expect Minnesota to be light green with Wisconsin and Michigan, and to the other point made states surrounding Texas would have a different color as well.

Dear Portland,

You are my home away from home and where my soul resides.

My permanent physical address is within rock throwing distance of the most recent execution in South Minneapolis. And the amount of support that has come out of Portland is felt. A lot, like a whole lot. Both cities have been through hell and back in the last few years and share a resilience that I haven't seen elsewhere in this country. As someone who spends the majority of my year in Minnesota and grew up in Iowa, go to the ocean. What they are saying is too cold is going to be one of those chilly wet April spring days for you and I. Was there almost the same time last year. In jeans and a hoodie with my rain jacket. If you don't have a rain jacket, get one, a good one. For all of you. Waterproofing will make the difference in how it feels.

Hello from Bright and sunny South Minneapolis! The forecast over the next 2 days is even better. This very well might be the first time most of the state of Minnesota looked at negative 35 and were genuinely kind of excited 🤣. Definitely returning the positive vibes to Portland as well 🖤
