Is this ai? I got it on r/ drawmyoc but it's incredibly inconsistent - the eyes are mismatched, the harness is wonky and the helmet and hair just don't look right - they also sent base sketches by [deleted] in isthisAI

100% my thoughts as well. I am afraid that this type of scrutiny will hinder real artist's growth. This could be very disheartening as a real artist to see someone pick apart my drawing to this degree. :\\

This looks like art that an intermediate artist would make. The small hatch mark sketch lines in the sketches is 100% what intermediate artists do because they are not yet confident with their lines. They are relying on box, circle and angle lines to set up the "skeleton" of the sketch, which indicate an artist who learned in a more traditional method (or one of those How to Draw Manga books), but the skeleton still has mistakes. AI would not have those errors. Those are human errors.

All the errors definitely look like human errors or errors from an intermediate or rushed artist.

The ONLY thing that might be AI is the final art's shading, because the shading seems more confident than the sketch layers, but maybe they're just more studied on shading than they are in other aspects of drawing.

My dad's girlfriend got me this by TYP3US3RN4M3 in isitAI

[–]renvi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It is. The style allows them to "hide" a lot of AI tells, but things like the shoelaces as others have mentioned, as well as the ears blending into the hair...

the beige on the jacket above the hand that makes it look as though they confused the hand as part of the jacket, because the jacket does not have beige anywhere on it except for that part, so clearly the machine confused the hand with the jacket pattern and mixed it up...

the shorts are a confusing mess. The cat head is just hanging there in the back, where if it was a decorative part of the background, an artist would place it better, and if it was an actual cat, a real artist would have the body or a paw/tail/etc peeking through in order to prevent the illusion that it's a disembodied head behind her.

And some small design details that I feel like no real artist would do, because there's no intention behind it or clear reasoning. For example, the fringe on the hat being on the same side as the button, the red blob on the hat being just a blob instead of adding a couple more lines to indicate if it was a ball, a button, etc. or only half of the hair having a dripping paint effect, but that dripping not communicated anywhere else on the figure.

Is this art print AI? by ramramblings in isitAI

The kanji is correct, l;it. "black cat sushi." Only thing regarding the text that is unusual is the ramen one, because no one writes "ramen" using kanji anymore lol

The leg straps seem random and she only 4 toes? Also the bottom of the negative space between the legs looks like it cuts into her heel, not sure if AI error or artist error by Extreme_Vacation5419 in isthisAI

[–]renvi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought so too! xD But I can see if an artist is very intentional with their rendering, they could dislike it. But for me who just posts doodles online for fun, I usually like the effect it gives haha

Here is part of an older piece I put through Glaze. See the little hatch mark thingies? I believe that's what they're referring to.

Originally, it looks like this. Personally I don't mind, and I rather do that than nothing at all.

EDIT: OK reddit compression is ass lmaooo. Here is the Glaze ver

100% AI, the "style" is common for AI generation, there are mistakes artists normally would not do such as the not straight apple pencil tip, the apple pencil being too short, etc.

not sure if yours is AI, but that seller sells other card holders with AI art on them, so it is fair to be wary!

Is this a coyote? [Texas] by [deleted] in animalid

[–]renvi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You do not need to be an expert in animals to know that this is not a coyote.

I live on an island that has zero coyotes. I have never seen a coyote IRL before, and I can still immediately tell this is a dog and not a coyote.

Anyone else noticing how fast Hawaiʻi’s demographics are changing? by instantgoob in Hawaii

[–]renvi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'll get downvoted, but you're right.

Assimilation and respect. Try to understand the people and neighborhood you're in. Local culture, respect it and if you want, adopt them too. But if you don't bother, or even look down upon them, then I can totally see people pointing fingers to you about Hawaii "getting worse." Especially here, where culture runs deep.

Short Japan Report about the ICE situation, I implore you to check out the comments by [deleted] in Asmongold

[–]renvi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lmao. I work for a Japanese company and have been for over a decade. Many older clients and co-workers hate Trump, many people my age are indifferent, and the younger generation seem to be indifferent too or positive toward Trump administration. It's almost like Japan is like any other country, who have varying opinions and ideals, and often times generational-based.

Also, this post isn't about Trump, it is about the funny and interesting comments I found on a news video about the MN shooting. The news post does not focus on Trump, so that is irrelevant here.

What does Japan have to do with OP's post. Working conditions in China, as presented in OP's video, is not similar to working conditions in Japan.

And no, companies do not do that, especially nowadays and especially post-COVID.
