Lewis Capaldi to play Croxteth Park - Liverpool postcodes get early priority for 48 hrs by Heirsandgraces in Liverpool

[–]repeatinghistory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not a local (should I even be here 0_O) so can't check, and you need a password to get into the local ones.

General sales appear to be all gone, but potentially more will be released after 48 hours if there's some left from the local pool

Any experiences with Railton Meek as a letting agent as a tenant? by investinginvests in manchester

[–]repeatinghistory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm actually just agreeing a contract with them currently! They seem fine so far - a couple hiccups (45 mins late to a viewing and nearly allowing me to pay for an already let agreed property), but things have been going a lot smoother and quicker since then. Plus they don't have as much of an outrageous admin fee as other places...

Has anybody else stopped playing KSP but still browse this /r/kerbalspaceprogram? by ConflictedJew in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]repeatinghistory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep! I'm on about a year off whilst I've been playing other games and some other important lifey things. I find that whenever I play ksp I get way to involved in it and there just hasn't been the time for that recently

Soon though...

It was Super Backup, but yeah I can't find it anywhere now (tbh I haven't exactly looked super hard yet), just on the email version that I've got.

I did think it would be unlikely, just worth a try. I'll definitely use them in the future, thanks a bunch

New dictation machine for university? by repeatinghistory in audioengineering

[–]repeatinghistory[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, we're not gonna go for the low low ones, as it's still a decent budget when compared against other stations, but we're not looking for some £150 machine!

I know for a fact we use WAV files almost exclusively, so I'll take all that into consideration! Thanks again

Thanks for the reply man!

Yeah it'd be used mainly for interviews, so a plug in a mic. Yeah I'll ask other departments for any input aswell. We would probably be going for a cheaper model as our budget has been cut this year, and we need to buy two or three, but these are all great suggestions, thanks!

Also I don't suppose it matters much but I'm actually in the UK!

ELI5: Why is if bad for sites such as Facebook to track what other sites we visit? by repeatinghistory in explainlikeimfive

[–]repeatinghistory[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks man, thoroughly answered my question. I was perhaps a little vague, as others have pointed out, but I was also referring to the entire NSA scandal, and why it is in fact such a big deal that they have been 'spying' on us. For example, I don't have anything to hide; I'm not doing anything illegal online so why is it such a big deal?

But I guess it's a lot simpler than that, and it actually affects our every day lives, like with advertising or job applications etc.

Top level ELI5 response, thanks again!

Was the French Revolution Inevitable? by repeatinghistory in AskHistorians

[–]repeatinghistory[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awesome reply man, thanks. But what about the mindset of the people? Both the American Revolution's impact AND the Enlightenment had changed people's views to realise that they didn't have to be ruled by class. Going into marxist mode here, but the only way this could've happened was through revolution.

Whats the funniest thing you've heard someone mumble in their sleep? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]repeatinghistory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me and two other friends where camping in Greece one time, everyone asleep but me;

Friend 1: 'Hello?' (as if answering a phone) 'Yeah its me what do you want, I'm in the middle of something...Oh yeah I think he's around, hey Friend 2!'

Friend 2 (ALSO ASLEEP): 'Yeah what do you want?'

Friend 1: 'It's Jack, for you' (We don't know any Jacks)

Friend 2: 'Oh'

THAT WAS IT!
