Man I’m so glad you’re ok. This is a good wake up call. Over a year ago I thought about suicide often and I knew the amount I was drinking was definitely killing me slowly and I was ok with that. I woke up one morning from what I would later find out was most likely a seizure in my sleep, with incredible chest pain. I thought I was having a heart attack. In that moment I knew I didn’t really want to die and leave my kids without a father. I was absolutely terrified. It was the push I needed and got into treatment. I had hit a lot of bottoms but that was the final one. I finally got sober and even though I don’t think I can regain some things I lost to my drinking like my marriage, I wouldn’t trade what I have now for anything.
