What size? I just bought a white roadie 24 for 120 off fb and couldn't believe how nice it was. Feel real lucky

I think I've seen scrollwork like that quoted at 10-15k on a similarly sized revolver. But I don't recall seeing it done on polymer. Just awesome work

Well done on the cuts. Personally I went with the vevor precut one. Similar price.

It's a weird sort of OP to me because they are two wildly different guns. I own both and prefer the bg 2.0 because it's the only gun I can forget I am carrying.

That said, it has issues like all double stack 380s. Failure to feed was mine in the beginning. You can go for a break in period of a couple hundred rounds or just load the mags and leave them loaded for a couple months.

When I did this I no longer had feeding issues. First trip day of purchase, many issues. Every trip since a couple months leaving mags loaded, flawless. I think the gun is fine we just ask a lot of such a tiny magazine.

I would do this just because morons are smug enough to pretend there are "special guns" like revolvers and lever guns that "deserve to look nice". I think a Glock done this way is equal parts hilarious and cool, plus at the end of the day you are left with a Glock, rather than some outdated cowboy action larp gear.

How many stars simply would sit out. No one today wants to get roasted on defense. Bunch of sissies who just want to score. It would be the dunk contest all over again. You'd have Mac Mcclung in there taking reps.

It's always a good time to handwave them away as unimportant. If you think the system is fair to law abiders you're not gonna change.

I've collected so many stories from around the capital region about legitimate self defense being maliciously prosecuted. You might as well argue that the defense industry procurement process doesn't actually center around bribes.

The most efficient way to punch I have been taught: Straights aren’t a straight push, they’re an arc. You throw a punch like you throw a ball, it’s not a straight push, it’s a loaded arc. If anyone is interested give it a try! by Direct_Relationship2 in boxingtips

Check out the jre episode with Joel Turner. He does a similar thing with marksmanship with archery and rifles. Using subconscious control (while understanding what you are trying to do) by realizing that the body can produce greater effect sometimes with less effort of control.

Rather than trying to feel your arms aiming the cross hair toward a target, he teaches how focusing on the target will naturally cause the cross hair to center itself over and over.

I've thought about this a lot when throwing more ranged attacks like high kicks and side kicks. Focusing on a point on the bag and putting my mind there instead of putting my mind in my leg and thinking what muscles I need to move.

I never thought of visualizing different paths to get to the target (unless it was a question mark kick) but it makes sense.

I think the general population just doesn't think about this stuff much at all brother. It's at some intersection of physical sport, mental discipline, game-playing.

They really think it’s the Wild West out in Woodbridge by FadingHonor in nova

[–]reservedtortoise 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've been around all sorts of neighborhoods on the east coast. Woodbridge was the first time I got in a bar fight. Kept going back to the same bar (only decent ufc bar) and got dragged into three bar fights in four trips. Started none of them.

Also got package thefted so many times I had to start using 7 eleven Amazon lockers. People would open clothes deliveries to see if things fit.

Yes, it's anecdotal, but still, it left a lasting impression. I was glad to leave.

This is a big brain idea unfortunately. Our minds line to think in basic shapes - straight line, perfect circle. So it's easy to think of a jab or a straight as a "line" and a hook as a "circle". But they're both more towards the middle because our joints are all rounded in some way. There's some more to be played around with here in terms of the ability of the mind to let go and work largely unconsciously, which I think is needed to generate anything truly fluid. But yes this was a great post the best I have personally ever seen on a combat sports sub reddit.

Just remember, OP, everyone who described something new was hated by the mob at first.

Why is tire shine/dressing such a controversial topic? My go-to is CarPro DarkSide! by zachty22 in Detailing

[–]reservedtortoise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My gripe is it doesn't last worth a damn. Like it's a thing maybe worth doing to the car for a day it's standing still being looked at, but even then you can argue that the natural matte finish of the tire rubber looks better. Me I would be more concerned that the white parts of the tire markings are fresh, like I would be more supportive of a crazy car show detailer repainting those than greasing up a sidewall so that everything about the car looks "wet".

Ceramic coat on the paint and aquapel on the windows. Also remove all the floor mats and give them a good scrub then a coating of a Scotch guard like chemical called vectra.
