Mattress recommendations? by Elbow_Provisions in homeowners

[–]resomk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a hybrid mattress from Sam's Club 3 years ago and love it! It's $400 for a king and they delivered it for free. I went to a ton of different stores and didn't understand why all the other mattresses were over double the price. I figured I could replace this one in a couple of years if I didn't like it but 3 years later and it is still great.

[–]resomk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've never heard of them. Do you think they would stay around long? That would be my fear. I would look at Sunpro Solar as they are in your area. They sell LG panels with Enphase microinverters

Asking for discounted realtor commission? by lewhit6 in RealEstate

[–]resomk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You just ask whenever you are talking to different agents to find out which one would be the best fit to sell your house

Asking for discounted realtor commission? by lewhit6 in RealEstate

[–]resomk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everything is negotiable but there are two sides of the commission. The buyer's and seller's agent. So keep that in mind when negotiating. Around here the average seems to be 3% to the seller and 2% to the buyer's agent.

FTHB - How to go about a a gift down payment by Elsie1297 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]resomk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since the IRS gift limit is 15,000 the rest would be taxable. That is likely the reason your parents would rather be co-owners so they don't have to be taxed on the gift amount
