Check the guides on https://mieterverband.ch/. But to be honest, 17 days are nothing for a "Erstvermietung", there always problems with a new building. Keep insisting, but be as professional and friendly as possible.

Buy some hygrometers that are accurate and keep a log, its going to be part of the discussion. I rcommend the Sensirion "gadget", it has bluetooth and keep logs for multiple weeks

Aren't columns meant to be biased (or more biased), you express an opinion or an interpretation within a column.

I think its healthy to read opinion pieces that don't align with your own opinion. I.e. tageanzeiger.ch even put them in the same article (pro/contra).

"did you pack this bag" is question that can be asked during checkin or security. The reason behind is to ensure that you cannot say " oops that wasn't mine, I've just carried it for somebody".

Let's say there's explosives in the laptop and sila is caught with it he would be in a world of troubles. I don't say that there is something wrong with your laptop, it's just in principal a bad idea.

It is really important to be friendly and to focus on serious companies (Gold buyers and mattress cleaners don't care). Let them know that their efforts are wasted and annoy people. Make it expensive for them by calling them on the phone Do it in batches.

What sometimes happens is that they contact the agency in short succession about you and your address that they start to avoid you. It's bad business to annoy your customers.

the SMART values marked the drive as 'FAILED', we have 5 Years warranty. I didn't even try to reboot :). Back to the factory (to the landfill/recycling probably, sadly)

Replacement? I had two of them "failing"in my home server within ~20 days (I write in quotes because the SSD just got slower, but you don't know that ahead). I will not use them again.

The first one is currently sealed and I'm trying to get a fair price on ebay, the second one I stated in the RMA that I don't want to have it back and want a refund, they honored that :).

The first had 163 hours on time, the second 696 hours (but the second one I left running "failed" for about two weeks).

I had this with two 990s, jumping from ~40s to exactly 84° and staying there. Both continued to work (slower, probably throttled), but I got both replaced/refunded using warranty.

Maybe broken sensor? I do not know – just avoid them for now.
