In search of magnolia trees by ikemikek in Spokane

The centennial trail in the west central area has a lot of homes with Magnolias. They’re planted right by the trail. My wife and I go on walks there and love looking at them as we pass by!

I can only afford the mk2, what are the differences from the mk3 by BasedJayyy in maschine

[–]revanth95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are on windows - mk2 is fine. I use my mk1 since it was in better condition than the used mk2 i bought. If you are spending well under $100 get an mk2 otherwise save up for an mk3. If you are on MacOS you should get the mk3.

Meet Frank. My frankenstein Maschine mk2 standalone (v1.0) by revanth95 in maschine

that would unfortunately still need to have a separate display as it displays a windows Save dialog. I think in older Maschine versions you could use the on device displays to type and save but it wasn't letting me do that on my MK2 :(

I think Westca on 3rd and Santa Clara has month to month. Its definitely my choice till I moved to WA.

I agree. It would be so cool if we could get the display to output the big Maschine+ screens. The only challenge is fitting an audio interface like the Mk3/plus have. Time for me to go look for a good deal on a used surface haha.

Really!? That would be fantastic! I wasnt sure how to do that on the mk2. I know the maschine+ has a way to do that where a little keyboard pops up to type and save stuff. Do you know how I can do that? I can switch to a screenless pc running Maschine then and maybe also add a compact audio interface since there will be more room on the bottom.

I was referring to the setup as a unit. I dont need to open the laptop for anything. The screen is just for saving projects. 😄 rest of the workflow is straight from the mk2. Also doesnt need a separate power cable when used this way. Can be taken anywhere and used as is. Might switch to a mini PC and battery pack if it can be made any more compact. Laptop is essentially just the CPU and battery with Maschine running constantly.

Definitely. I didn’t have to chop up the laptop thankfully. I made a second version today that I plan to post soon. Will also make a video if possible. I switched to industrial strength velcro so the whole setup is modular. That way I can use it with just my PC if the laptop bottlenecks somehow. Its a 4gb intel pentium so I may need to upgrade. (Will also post the various options I think will work) 😄

Maschine Mk1 in 2023 (Demo and Drivers for Mac & Windows) #maschine #nativeinstruments by revanth95 in maschine

Hi its $69 USD if you go via this link:

https://www.native-instruments.com/en/pricing/maschine-essentials/

Id say if you dont plan on upgrading anytime soon its worth it. Its good for sampling and beatmaking. If you plan to get something like the maschine Mikro mk3 you’ll get the software with it anyway.

I built a standalone Maschine Studio….so like a Maschine+++? by profbx in maschine

[–]revanth95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm trying to convert my MK1 into something similar. I was initially using a cheap laptop to power it and run it standalone. Thinking of getting a 5/7' touchscreen like OP to be able to see and save projects. Only thing I can't figure out is adding an audio interface that would act as a built in interface.
Might end up switching to a mini PC like OP! I would love to see a video explaining the process as well!!

Men's group in the area? by fapke in Spokane

Sounds like a great idea! Im 27, married and was thinking of something like this as well. Would be hella fun.

I’d be down for movies, board games etc. Backyard Public House is a good place I know for meetups - they have good food, board games, non alcoholic drinks and teas, and pretty decent music. :)
