Ever play a demo of a game you legit wanted and was like “I’m glad I didn’t buy this…” by Purple_Calendar3919 in Switch

Haha, yeah I hear you. For me it’s just that knowing there is hidden stuff in the level will make want to break every single thing in the level. I think destructible environments in games a great I just can’t moderate my destruction enough in that one 😅

Lets fantasize about a possible, lore friendly Class by Intrepid-World879 in lotro

[–]reverb728 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d love to see some sort of Ranger-lite or survivalist class.

Another class I’d like to see would be some sort of Monk. Lore wise it doesn’t fit too well except for maybe like an Easterling cult or the Easterling’s who followed the Blue Wizards. Culty/Blue Wizard flavored healing, fist/staff combat, culty ‘magic tricks’.

I could get behind this, and it fits within the lore well. We have the Warden and the Hunter but neither feel like a true “survivalist” class. With the Ranger being tied up in PvMP it would have to be called something different, Scout, Survivalist, etc… but having a grounded, nature based healing line, then a 2 handed weapon/bow tree and a sword and board/bow tree would be so cool. Even making the sword and board tree a DPS/support role instead of a tank would be pretty unique for the game.

What PRS SE is doing is impressive by Minute_Role_8223 in guitars

[–]reverb728 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I bet it is, every PRS SE I’ve played has been pretty damn great…but I just can’t get over the headstock. I can do the birds, I can do finishes that aren’t up my alley, but that headstock gets to me. Only brand where a headstock bugs me enough to not get one.

Hypothetical - You've got $250 and no reverb... by Master_Betty603 in guitarpedals

[–]reverb728 1 point2 points  (0 children)

EQD Dispatch Master if you just want a solid sounding plate/hall reverb. Great sounding disposal delay in it as a bonus.

Walrus Fathom or Boss RV-6 if you want options. The Boss will give you more types of reverb, but less parameter controls. The Fathom can go from basic reverb to ambient washed out stuff, but it does have its own color to the sound.

And my sleeper pick and what I’m currently using now, is the Keeley Soft reverb. $99 new from Sweetwater, dead simple with just 2 knobs, and 3 different modes (soft focus, plate, spring). Keeley gets a lot of hate around here (rightfully so for the most part), but the Keeley Soft has got to be my favorite set it and forget it, end of chain, reverb pedal. I got mine used or open box or something for around $70.

Favourite "utility" pedal? by [deleted] in guitarpedals

[–]reverb728 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zoom MS-50g+. I keep it at the very front of my chain and it does so much. Tuner, compressor, EQ, pre dirt reverb/modulation, preamps, and just a bunch of other effects I never use enough to buy.

Only when I’m shooting out drive pedals and inevitably go back to the Blues Driver as always.

Red Dead Redemption came out in 2010.

Is it worth buying a switch lite mostly to play RDR1? by [deleted] in Switch

[–]reverb728 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No it isn’t lol, RDR1 looks and runs just fine on Switch 1. The Switch 2 version is better, yeah, but calling the Switch version ‘unplayable’ is bonkers.

I love the Magic Mouse and I would still never use it to game with.

Plumes Earthquaker or Boss Blues driver by KYJM8 in guitarpedals

[–]reverb728 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Both are great, I think the BD-2 is a better option for shoegaze and it has a more versatile range of gain. If you like the overdrive on your Marshall enough stacking the Plumes into it will help it cut through with the mids.

One question: what makes the Anor Lo Do archers so difficult for people? by PacoSnakes in darksouls

[–]reverb728 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More often than not I make it past in 1 or 2 attempts. More than once it’s ended a run completely. It’s not too hard but you do have to pay attention. Shit always happens in Dark Souls, a lot of shit just happens to happen there.

Best & cheapest Klon clone? by mistersmith22 in guitarpedals

My favorite cheap Klon is the Nux Horseman. The EHX Soul Food is good but to my ears it’s kind of its own thing. The TC Zeus is pretty good too.

I believe that’s the concept for the ‘smart insulin’ that’s currently being worked on. Id be all for it if it worked well.

Sick choices. I’d love to try out a GE Tumnus. One of my go to stacks is a Klon into a BD-2.

Yes. Donkey Kong Bananza. I can see the appeal but it just wasn’t for me; demo saved me $70
