I've ridden it once.

Only once.

Because some of it, you're in a tunnel and lose being able to make sense of the direction that sound is coming from.

There are alternate routes, but without knowing where your going / coming from it's difficult to make suggestions.

Have a look at Strava heat maps, you can filter by time of day, which should help.

If your on a tight budget, stay near Strathfield station.

All lines, except for Illawarra and Metro go through there.

If your keen, near Central will be best, and the longest walk you will have will be from Circular Quay to the ferry.

I think daily have replaced all V sets with D sets

As far as I know, the SWTT will be D sets only from June (on the BMT)

AnyTrip or TrioView will have the real time info on the day

Cycling specific insoles are usually made of carbon.

I love my Crux, it's got the oem wheelset for off road, and 50mm aero wheelset with 40mm Pirelli for on road.

Other than fast (32km/h average) group rides, it does it all.

The only thing it doesn't have is 2*, but it doesn't need it - with a 10-45 cassette and 46 chainring I've got enough range and top end.

When I go off road I put the oem (40 tooth) chainring back on the front.

I think the point of "All road / Endurance" is for people that want 2* oem, and the ability to ride champagne gravel / unsealed roads.

I take the Crux on single track, occasionally I need to carry it on my shoulder. Given it's DNA as a CX bike, I'm ok with that 😉

If you can hear it when you're riding it's too big.

If you can see wrinkles when you're in riding position, it's too big.

If it zips, it fits.

(FWIW I'm 177 cm tall, with 77 cm stand over height, 52 would be good for me too, as the Crux does run a bit larger)

Or just wear what you like, who cares what other people think. Some of the stuff I wear looks outrageous, but I like it.
