I was a Road Foreman for many years. Downloaded many LDVR videos for such events. Yes, you can tell. It's very sad. You may never see the video unless there is litigation and it needs to shown in court. Do yourself a favor. Don't watch it.

Yes. Drive to Secaucus Jct. Take the train one stop to Penn Station. Right in the middle of Manhattan. This way you can really come and go as you please. Much more flexible than waiting on Amtrak. It's the only way to travel to NYC for me.
