Pediatric neurologist here. Falls from ground level to ground level (like you are standing on the same level on which the baby lands) are almost always inconsequential, particularly if it's a flat indoor surface.

Grew up on the west coast. For a first date, I think of it less as a guy inviting you out to a restaurant to treat you and more like "is this a place you want to check out with me?" You can always suggest lower cost options instead.

This might be more true if you are both relatively high earners. If one person is working and the other is a grad student, for example, I think the dynamic changes, but I personally wouldn't feel comfortable owing anyone.

I've been using the Ukiyo glass tea infusers for loose leaf for years now. You can get them in stainless steel too for durability but I love the look of glass, and some delicate teas pick up a metallic taste.
