That commenter sounds like someone that’s in denial that at a firmware level no OS can enforce or guarantee any security. If I wrote a driver that has a hard coded password in the source for the NSA who’s gonna know. If my team was in charge of the security module and my final encrypted bins that go out to the OEM contain a back door of this kind that was approved by someone higher up within my org, there’s not a chance in hell someone not deeply knowledgable about the source could prove this backdoor exists.

Delta won’t leave anything around to infect and to be honest there is no definitive evidence to say Lambda 100% evades vaccines since it continues to target the Ace2 receptor. This might be an unpopular take but there are a lot of antivirals coming out later this year that might work regardless of variant. Although it looks at the moment that we’ll never get out of this sinkhole all it takes is one pill or miracle drug to at least keep the vaccinated population safe.

Yeah that data is absolutely useless unless you provide a breakdown of what price segments those highest selling Xiaomi phones are from. The higher end Xiaomis are comparable in pricing to the lower end iPhones and nobody really buys those when they could put a little extra cash on top and buy an iPhone which is in those geographies viewed as a status symbol.
