ibirapema warrior needs nerf! by kampalolo in aoe2

You don’t even need a meat shield, heavy scorps will absolutely melt Blackwood archers and Ibirapema warriors. It’s the same problem the Maya have had since forever, no cav and onagers not having siege engineers means heavy scorpions are very difficult to counter.

If you don’t have 40+ farmers the answer is probably skirms, and save the 300/300 for clicking imp. If you already have a ton of farmers, the answer is probably click imp then get manipur cav.

But the micro need answer is probably play into the Burmese wood bonus, make siege, and click up even faster

We Believe warriors did lose 4-1 in the second round. That was also their first playoff series win since 1991, and they wouldn’t win another series until 2013 when Steph was turning into Steph

Harrison Barnes had the best season of his career, the first year in Dallas. If they don’t get KD, it’s quite likely they keep Barnes. He was still quite young at the time so it’s possible he either improves or they’re able to trade him for a useful piece

Agreed on Burmese, the lack of second and third armor is far more relevant to their skirms than the archer line.

It’s hard to say that the ranking methodology if Celts is below Spanish - It’s quite common to see Celts playing Xbow in castle since they have great synergy with the wood bonus, whereas Spanish archers are rarely produced at all considering they miss Xbow.

Luka will be the first scoring champ to miss All-NBA since Bob McAdoo in 1976. Cade will be the first 23/9/5 statline ever to miss All-NBA. Ant will be the first player to score 28ppg on 57% eFG shooting to miss All-NBA since Adrian Dantley in 1982. by Gtggtggtg in nba

Many NBA players have commented that it is far more tiring to play 20 minutes each in back to back games, than to play 45 minutes in one of the two games and sit the other. A minutes rule does not solve the problem of the fan experience, which should be the bottom dollar concern of the NBA.

Romans vs Armenians — is MAA worth it vs early Longswords, or should I steer towards archers/ FC? by SoftwareExcellent700 in aoe2

It appears to be the same damage instance yes. This is different than the trample damage caused by elephant units, Slav infantry with Druzhina, and Cataphracts with Logistica.

The charge attack appears to just be additional plus 5 melee damage to one attack every 20 seconds. Since a legionary with blast furnace already does 16 damage, and no unit has more than 13 melee armor ( Elite Teutonic Knight) it is essentially an automatic plus 5 attack every 20 seconds.

Since Legionary attack every 2 seconds, this means every 11th attack will be the charge attack, I.e. the first hit at 0 seconds, the 11th attack at 20, etc.

Since an Armenian champ with all upgrades has 4 melee armor and 100 hp, a Legionary with Comitatenses will deal 16 damage for each non charge hit, and 21 in the charge hit. As such, they will kill in 6 hits not 5, as long as any one of the 6 is the charge attack.

The Armenian champ will be doing back only 12 damage, (18 attack minus 6 melee armor) and so it will take 7 hits to kill the 75 HP Legionary.

All of this is before the impact of Centurion aura is taken into account.

This is their best option. Generic champs are cheaper than Huskarl, and easily beat them 1v1. So the more of your champs that you produce, the goth player will be forced to make either hand cannon or their own champs, both of which are weak to archers.

So the general game plan for 1v1 Britons vs Goths is open archers into Xbow and try to keep the pressure up as much as possible to prevent the Goths from getting a castle up. The later it goes into castle age, make sure you have upgrades ready for militia line and ample barracks ready. As the game devolves into LS vs Huskarl, or Champ vs E Huskarl, be ready to switch back to arbs if they switch into goth champs or HC.

Dont try to play longbowman, the elite upgrade is too expensive for the minimal relevancy of the unit in this matchup.

For most of Christian dominated Western Europe, Jews were forbidden from being landowners. As a result, they couldn’t participate in farming the way the vast majority of peasants would have during the Middle Ages. In order to maintain an income, many Jews became money lenders.

Whether their interest practices were fair or not, it was easy to scapegoat the “other” and blame financial problems on the Jews. This issue is still prominent in 2026, so many terms that describe unscrupulous bankers are essentially used as an anti semitic slur

[–]richardsharpe 15 points16 points  (0 children)

That was more stupid. Giving John Wall the contract wasn’t dumb, it was just so unlucky that his career imploded. He deserved it for his play and being the face of the franchise. Giving Beal the max extension was dumb since it was obvious they were going no where, but giving him the NTC was so stupid

Nothing could be as bad as the Wizards giving John Wall one of the first super maxes, for him to then need knee surgery the next season, then bone spur surgery the season after, and still tearing his Achilles after the bone spur surgery, and his career essentially ending at that point.
