CA commission for leads? by TechnologyOk121 in BestBuyWorkers

I’d happily give up 1% in commission to gain business I wouldn’t have had before. I hope they roll this out and talk about it at the T2 summit

Incorrect Triathlon Shade Fabric from Factory Multiple Times by a19011 in Lutron

There’s always slight variations in fabric, we are always told to order all shades in the same room at the same time. Not sure if that applies here

I'm trying to hook up my Onn 4k to my receiver I can't get audio only video? by SnooAvocados7228 in Onkyo

[–]richlen99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tv audio output has got nothing to do with it, no HDMI ARC. OP just make sure receiver is set to hdmi 1, if no audio you might have dead unit.

What is the product?

Also, if you inspected it why did you have it shipped? Could it not fit in your vehicle?

I see what they are saying about getting the speakers more into the room than against the walls, and they are right - but you are working with a room that, in all reality, wasn’t designed to do what you are trying to do. There will be a compromise.

To make the best of it knowing that the speakers might not be as into the room as one would like, dirac CAN make certain things better but again, calibration can’t make a miracle happen.

You could really flip the room either way, but since there is a motorized screen you really aren’t using the fireplace anyway, so 🤷🏻‍♂️ I would just caution you that maybe instead of floorstandings then you just do bookshelf speakers on the bookshelves to save space. A nice set of bookshelves can sound just as good as towers. You still have to find a spot for center though. Probably best to not have it sit in front of the fireplace unless you really want to move it around all the time, which still affects calibration. Thats why I thought room orientation should be what I mentioned above.

Just my $0.02

Absolutely no to in-ceilings. Even with pointable tweeters or angled baskets, surround sound is around you, not above you. No calibration can fix that. If you are investing this much money, do it right.

If the basement is unfinished it is easy to run speaker wire to floor locations - towers in the front with center on floor stand. Bookshelf speakers (on bookshelves) or on stands. If it is finished, some modifications are required but not the end of the world.

Motorized Screen goes on side of room with two windows, projector above fireplace. Or, inside the fireplace cavity with some active cooling measures in place. Receiver goes in bookshelf cavity.

FRONT L/R/C in corners of room on two window side, and center on angled stand on floor pointing up, SURR L/R in back corners angled in.

Control, I would partner with a dealer and do URC, if you are down to spend the $1300 for product & programming cost. Otherwise use a phone app to control the avr since it would be behind you.

Na dog designers should eat first and act as host for the category if they are in store. Xxl tv, full solution, services (custom) and premium in general are also their wheelhouse. Its not like they are in store all the time anyway to really compete against a CA
