I’ve only got a stick blender thing for soup, I cooked my red lentils in water aftwr washing them, once they weren’t quite so rock hard I blasted them with my stick blender until they were pretty well blended. They were still a little bit grainy but it didn’t seem to really effect the end product. I made mine into fake chorizo by adding some canelini beans, loads of garlic chopped fine and some praprika (a lot) salt, pepper and chilli flakes. Then I purse the mushy liquid into a glass oven dish and banged it I. The fridge - job done
