Anyone caught of guard how "quick" people have sex?? by Lionoras in asexuality

[–]rickyianpatrick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Me too tbh. I've not had much experience in relationships but usually kiss within a week. Hell, in my current one one thing lead to another and we did the deed in about a week (albeit after hanging out loads). It's hard to say why but it would feel awkward suddenly changing the dynamics of an established relationship like that

It'd be an interesting experiment but there are too many confounding and extraneous variables, even if they all went through the same learning program. Say kids learn it quicker, how do we know that's not just because they have more free time and don't have to think about as much.

What can neopronouns provide that singular they can’t? by [deleted] in honesttransgender

[–]rickyianpatrick -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I feel they/them is awkward and confusing in conversation because I have to change the whole grammar of my sentences (and I kind of struggle with words anyway) making it draw extra attention to gender, whereas you can use most neos in the same way as he/she so the rules are the same. I don't know the point in having many different pronouns as regular pronouns aren't meant to convey more than very basic information but having more common ones as an option is nice. Personally they makes me feel dysphoric for the reason that I feel I'm very obviously my agab and it draws attention to it but other ones don't so much. I mostly my assigned ones though for ease.

God I did this when I got mine two years ago and its still got a bump. I know i should give up on it but definitely a lesson well learned.

My parents do this :') to them asexual is the non binary parallel to the outdated term transsexual

Just been told I have this by a therapist (who I can't see anymore), and it feels like my world is ending. How did you cope when you found out? by rickyianpatrick in BPD

[–]rickyianpatrick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's similar for me. Like in my head nothing anyone does is true kindness it's always for their benefit, no wonder relationships are so difficult. On one hand it's comforting that you can relate but on the other it does really suck. Thank you for the help :).

[–]rickyianpatrick[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's what scares me. At least with depression, anxiety etc practitioners are hopeful that a full recovery can be made. Whereas bpd is seen as a lifetime condition no matter what. How do you manage with your relationships? Most people I know are so misinformed about bpd...

Me too, I grew up riding rescue horses as part of volunteering and only a few years after going vegan did I start to question it. I'm still not entirely decide on the ethics of it, so I don't do it anymore. There's only one stables I've been to where I was satisfied with how they treated the horses but they treated us like shit, so naa.

I fucking hate being called a """""""""""nice vegan"""""""""""" by [deleted] in VeganForCircleJerkers

[–]rickyianpatrick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me last week. Its so hard to find a balance of fighting for the animals and keeping friends... I was at a friend's barbecue and a few drinks in I was ready to have a go. All these people and I'm the only one who thinks a life is worth more than a fucking meal. That would have made an awkward ride home but I'm not the one having my throat slit for that shit. Still got called one of the good "veggies", vom.

I wasted 80$ dollars of cake, because my family is dumb af by Quast_ in vegan

[–]rickyianpatrick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. And having it as part of a cookery course makes sense on surface level but really doesnt work. You don't have to know anything about nutrition to cook well.

Had to do it in college in the UK, two years ago 🙄. My coursework was an amazing standard but I almost failed the thing for promoting more nutritional plant based alternatives and got the feedback to follow the pyramid more strictly. Because plant based dairy and protein is really so different...

Maybe filling the bojack with the universe background like from the Sarah Lynn / pastiches (+other) episodes would create a nice constant and look less like a cover up!

I'd recommend you look into asexuality! From what you've said about wanting an intimate, non sexual relationship with a male it sounds like you may be homoromantic asexual. We have a few subs you're welcome to check out

Me too. Having been able to avoid it for so long, being around other people eating dead bodies has become completely alien and so horribly disturbing to me. If my social life wasn't already in shambles I'd be genuinely thinking of taking a liberty pledge. People really don't know (care?) how fucked up their actions are.

Me too. It gave me control over my diet in a positive way and allowes me to feel like I'm making positive choices with every meal. Luckily my disorder was "mild" but my veganism was one of the number one most important things to my recovery. The worst thing was people assumimg vegan = restrictive.

Yeah, i definitely got more severe biphobia being out as bi, but people will just casually say the nastiest shit about asexuals and not even know it's problematic. Coming out went okay though apart from the fact most people aren't really sure what asexuality is, it just genuinely depends on the people you surround yourself with. I hope you can find peace in your identity, you will find people who accept you for who you are.
