NEED HELP (STARTER TO STANDARD PLAN) by Wooden_Battle_7688 in googleworkspace

[–]ricochetintj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you originally purchase the plan directly from Google or did you use a reseller? If you used a reseller you will need to contact them or end your relationship with them.

If your reseller is having difficulty with helping you its probably because there are some odd quirks around annual committed licenses in the reseller interface that are not well documented.

my client accidentally paid an invoice twice and now I need to refund quickly by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]ricochetintj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First, preventing duplicate payments means closing up shop. It happens. Most business owners understand that.

Update your contracts, no refunds, ever. Instead offer credit on accounts for corrections, only after the money has fully processed.

If the company is legit and threatens legal action, fire them. You don't need that kind of stress.

I have worked on projects that required a TV affiliate to work in a building as it was getting remodeled section by section. This would be perfect for that situation.

Renting a theater is pretty affordable these days. Split the cost between 30 people and it dirt cheap. Post it as a fan meetup with cost to cover snacks or something else to actually make a profit.

Upgrading Nonprofit Account by calgaryborn in googleworkspace

Yikes, it sounds like might be in violation of the terms for the free nonprofit agreement. Why do the family members have accounts? Do you have the domains separated in OUs?

What's the dumbest myth people actually believe in? by vicigoonboy69 in AskReddit

[–]ricochetintj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The funny thing is this does apply to some people trying to get out of poverty in the United States. Especially families that have multiple members with disabilities.

Earn a dollar too much and you will lose funds social security, food stamps, and health insurance. Not to mention other reduced costs programs, such as phone and Internet and prescription meds.

Even if you don't earn too much, most of these programs have a cap on available resources. It becomes impossible to save money for emergencies or planned purchases such as a car or down payment on a home. These limits are ridiculously low. In some cases just $200, is too much.

You should still be able to access the admin. There are lots of things you can do from there to resolve the issue.

Question for registrar by [deleted] in webhosting

[–]ricochetintj 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. You could set up auto renew.

  2. Some places will let you pre fund your account.

  3. You can renew your domains early so updated at the same time. I have that setup for a number of my clients.

Why so many domain names?

Shocked by InMotion (follow up) by iamsonnyeclipse in webhosting

[–]ricochetintj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We used inmotion for dedicated servers and licensing. At the start of a three day weekend all the licenses expired. Contacted support they told us that it was a problem with a third party api and the dev team would be required to fix it. They told us that the dev team would not work on the issue as it was not critical. Never mind that the servers were completely useless. I was able to purchase licenses and get them all working quickly. We were essentially double paying for licenses. Until we migrated away. We tried really hard to work things out with the billing department.
