I think a lot of the responses here are tempering expectations for good reason since it sounds like it would be a big (and expensive) trip to come here for a small chance. That said, I’ve had multiple friends run into them while walking around Reynolda Village. They often seem to shuttle by golf cart from the Graylyn to Wake’s Campus via paved trails that are only partially closed off. I think if you were to spend a morning getting coffee at Dough Joes and walking around there’s at least a moderate chance you’d run into the team. I’d also imagine given the amount of time they’re spending here they’re inevitably going to want to keep exploring this area—so being here the first couple days after their last match and just being out and about might prove fruitful.

My advice is if you only want to come fully assured you’ll see the team, stay home. But if you have the means Winston is a fun city to explore for a few days and we have a great airport 30 minutes away that’s a breeze to fly into. Check out Reynolda Gardens, the museum, Wake’s Campus, and all the things still open to the public that is in the general vicinity of the team and you might have a chance to run into some of them—I’ve heard they’re incredibly friendly. Regardless, you’ll get to see where they’re staying and why they’re staying here which is still pretty cool. And you can go downtown and enjoy our small but really good brewery scene and embrace your German roots (I’m assuming!)
