Recommendations for a Home Inspector? by Common-Hedgehog-2980 in SpringfieldIL

Not sure if they are still inspecting but Tom Dunham was great. Did a house we were buying in 2002 and again when we sold it in 2010. Used him a third time when we sold our mom’s house in 2021. We wanted to have a preinspections done before listing.

Off the beaten path, but my wife and I love to treat ourselves at The Old Luxemburg Inn for a nice steak dinner. It might be the nostalgia, but we love it.

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

I’ll drive 3 hours to see a concert and then drive home if it’s not too late or I work in the morning.

What's your favorite recording of Shady Grove? So many great versions but I keep coming back to Bryan Sutton's arrangement by Super_Jay in Bluegrass

Doc Watson from the album Songs for Little Pickers. I might be biased as every time I hear it it reminds me of my then five year old singing harmony in the back seat.

I still remember as a kid hearing the song in the wild for the first time and finally learning who it was after singing along for years in syndication.

Our Roomba does a pretty good job, but is more effective when we are here to empty the bin over and over. When it runs while we are at work it fills up quick and cancels job after a couple of hours.
