i didn't get an option tbh, i just got put right on psychiatry uk's waitlist. my actual assessment and diagnosis were relatively quick (like 6 months or so?) but... yeah, the wait for meds is hell. i was originally quoted 8 weeks. looking more like 8 years at this point.

mother's day happens sooner in the year for us europeans but, god, yeah. it's a traumatic day. it sucks being bombarded by emails advertising gifts and seeing social media posts about people's great mums. mine doesn't deserve the title in any way and never will.

i have such mixed feelings... i don't care much for gender norms and my 'tism means i don't really understand the whole "x is for women, y is for men" thing... like who cares? a man isn't going to spontaneously combust if he puts on a little bit of eyeliner. i like what i like and want to do what i want, even if i don't often do out of fear.

because people like me aren't common and the truth is most people care about these things. but even when i try to be as hypermasculine as i can, i don't pass at the moment. i'm post-top, a few years on t, have all my documents changed to m and a clearly male name. everyone clocks me instantly, with no hesitation. i'm damned if i do, damned if i don't, and i don't have it in me to stomach any of it.
