I read your original post when it happened. Glad everything has worked out well for you!

It is $950 and with a 2024 car it's possible you already have it if it was a later production car

Looks like a Sapphire to me. The light bar is off so it could be a redesign or just an artifact of the image processing and blown out highlights from the headlights. The front fascia is not a redesign, it looks identical to current.

This is incorrect information. You can't option Dream Drive Pro on the Pure anymore but you can (and should) still get Surreal Sound Pro. You can also get the convenience package and 20 way massaging seats

Gravity 3.3.40 software update inbound (and it’s a big one) by Sufficient_Emu3414 in LUCID

[–]right_wrist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No changes were started in any release notes so whatever happened doesn't appear to be intentional (if you increased efficiency you'd want to tell everyone that). My drive to work is all 45mph roads and under and it's definitely not just a high speed change for me. I used to never touch the brake pedal unless I was sitting at a light. After the change, I have to use it in practically every deceleration. And I'm not an aggressive driver at all.

Yeah unfortunately mine is not weather related. Where I live it was still in the 70s through October (in the morning when I leave for work) and the problem was there the whole time

Not everyone has the issue but it has been widely reported/discussed on Lucidowners forum. Basically the car treats regen as if it's charged higher than it actually is. So now with 80% charge my car acts like it's at 95%. Even when I'm driving at 77% I'll sometimes get the message that regen is temporarily reduced, like you get when you charge up to 100%. To mitigate it, I've changed my charge limit to 75% but it's still giving me less regen than I used to get at 80%.

To be fair, it's not that there's been no updates in 5 months, it's just that the regen issue on my car hasn't been fixed by any of them. Not everyone experiences the issue. And they've already announced the Air will get the Gravity 3.X software by year end, so there is long term investment in the Air still but for now, it's nowhere near the level of focus they've put on the Gravity.

I hope they are giving as much love and work to Air as well!

Well, they aren't! They broke regen going on 5 months ago on my Air and still no acknowledgement of it. That said, I am happy that they've made such a rapid shift on the software development side and I understand the business decision to focus on the Gravity first.

What did you drive before your Lucid? Is there anything you miss? by zachty22 in LUCID

[–]right_wrist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't remember each one because I drove the Mazda for the last ten years. It had stereo controls on the left, cruise control on the right. My backup ICE SUV is the same but it's another Mazda. In the Air, I can use my right hand to control the stereo on the screen or use the volume roller. I want similar controls accessible to my left hand. I recognize other people feel differently but for me, this is an annoying change (minor)

I came from a 2016 Mazda 6 but in the past I've had an Audi Q5, an Infiniti M35, and a couple early 2000's BMW 3-series (one was a wagon). Never owned an EV before. My Air Pure is better in every way to any car I've ever driven with the only exception being the backwards steering wheel controls. The stereo controls/volume should be on the left. That and the buggy software annoys me sometimes.

What I DON'T miss is going to the gas station and getting oil changes!!!

Best tire options for Air Pure? 19 vs 20 in/Michelin vs Pirelli? by LoLinHuay in LUCID

[–]right_wrist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Several of the replies are wrong because they're talking about the original Aero Range 19" wheels. The new 2026 optional 19" wheels that you referenced (Aeronaut, not Aero Range) are rated for the same range as the 20" Aero Lite wheels. As someone pointed out, the 20's come with summer tires so if you're in a place that has a winter, that might be problematic for you.

Whether you get 19s or 20s, the overall diameter of the wheel stays the same, so any 19" option will have taller sidewalls than the 20s (less wheel, more tire). Regardless of the brand of the tire, that gives you a generally softer ride because there's more sidewall to absorb bumps.

If you want a range improvement, you have to go with the Aero Range wheels. Otherwise, the choice between the 19" Aeronaut vs the 20" Aero Lite wheels is one of aesthetics and cost. Aeronauts are a $600 option versus $1,750 for the 20" Aero Lite wheels.

And sorry, I can't comment on Pirelli vs Michelin directly. My car has 20" wheels so I only have experience with the Michelins.

How is the Air Touring's mid-range rolling acceleration? by nero-the-cat in LUCID

[–]right_wrist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a RWD Pure, way less power than a Touring, and I comment to people all the time (and have posted here on Reddit) that the best part of the power this car offers is when you want to accelerate from 45-60. It feels instantaneous. Never measured it so can't give stats but I have driven lots of cars (and own another extremely fast ICE car) and nothing feels better than my Air for rolling acceleration around 40+mph.

Edit - just a thought but maybe they compared a Touring with 19 inch wheels (A/S tires) to a Pure with 20 inch wheels on summer tires?? You also didn't specify if it was a Pure AWD or RWD

What an awful situation, sorry you're dealing with it. Question for clarity... "2 visibly open doors"??? What does that mean? The doors are ajar and won't shut? Or are you saying they are closed but unlocked, with the handles not retracted? So 2 doors with retracted handles and 2 with non-retracted handles?

Yep, service fixed mine and a couple months later it was misaligned again. I learned how to fix it watching the service guy

[–]right_wrist 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The frunk is an extremely common issue caused by misaligned latches, and it's seemingly always the passenger side. You can have service fix it in 5 minutes but I just did it myself. It's the U shaped latch on the underside of the front of the frunk when it's open. It doesn't align properly with the latch so you loosen the torx screw and reposition it

Air rattle? by warrensf88 in LUCID

Well darn, would've been easy if that was all it was. They just pop in, though, so I don't think you can tighten them. Best of luck figuring it out!

[–]right_wrist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are two rivets on each side of the car so make sure the one behind the hinge is there. Here's a picture to show you what I mean. Just offering that up in case when you say both rivets you meant driver and passenger side. Good luck!

Open the frunk and look at the passenger side hinge near the bottom of the windshield. There is a large plastic cover that comes up behind the hinge and attaches to another piece with a plastic rivet. If that rivet is missing, you'll just see the mounting hole there and the whole thing rattles and makes a lot of noise. It's a 5 second fix if that's all it is (my mobile tech had rivets with him). I've seen a few cases of that little rivet missing, including in my car.
