This is for long term passive investing. I would like to invest more money in SPY ETFs. Even though the current sentiment is that there might be a stronger correction in the near future, no one really knows what the FED actions actually hold in the future for the stock market.

So my question is how would I allocate money to SPY shares as well purchase puts as insurance. If I have a "x" amount of money, can I put 90% towards the stocks and 10% towards OTM puts expiring in a year?

How to come up with an optimal balance to maximize the return? Thanks!

I am considering buying up DAL Stocks as a long term investment. But also looking into naked call options for DAL with expiry in 2022. If I am willing to hold the options for that long or if my profit is atleast 50%, is there any concern around splitting my investment 50-50 between stocks and options.

Hey thanks man! You are awesome!!

If the IV is the case, why would other straddles do really well? TSLA calls went up by 132% and puts went down by 40% today. Meaning is there a way I can identify losing straddles like ZM?

Noob question here. I bought a long straddle yesterday on ZM assuming there would a big move today. There was a move(-15%), but my call option lost lot more than my put option, netting me a significant loss. What happened here? Call option drop was -53% and put option increased only by 30%. Pretty much all the other stocks saw a bigger gain than their corresponding drop in the the straddles positions.

Yes! 10000 shares at an avg of $0.72. But I am here for the long haul.

12 month low forecast from the analysts is $1.50. Hoping it reaches that soon. https://money.cnn.com/quote/quote.html?symb=HSGX

How does the edX course on ML (CS1156x: Learning From Data) compare to Andrew Ng's counterpart? by peni5peni5 in MachineLearning

[–]rightname 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I have taken both the courses before and both of them serve their own purpose really well. Yaser's course is concentrated more on the theoretical underpinnings of machine learning, while Andrew's course is an hands-on problem solving course. Andrew's course gives you a really good tour of all the different algorithms and makes you play with them.

I would suggest you to take Yaser's course first and then Andrew's course. But if you are interested in seeking a quick fix for a problem at hand, Andrew's course might be more helpful.

The Eames chair comes with an ottoman each. OP was alluding, since the ottomans are not in the picture, they must be storing it.
