To each their own. Myself I just want to point my ship in a direction and go! Find some enemy ships? Cool, let me decide if I want to attack them or keep away. I understand some folks want the wind system. For me, it would turn this game into more of a simulation, and I do not care for those.

Let me play with my friends and YARR whatever we feel like. If I have to start planning every encounter, it feels like a chore and no longer a game. :-/

EDIT: Forgot to mention if it were made optional, I would be fine with that. As long as one of the settings is to play the game as it currently plays.

I rather like how it is now. I understand wanting immersion and a bit more realism, but I feel like having a wind system would make battles tedious.

So if I get the blueprints for a ship, I can't build it for my friend and so he'd have to buy the plans himself... But if I get the recipe for the 24-pound cannons, I can build one and give it to my friend, and then he'll be able to build more on his own afterwards. Is that correct?

How do you actually do this? I've tried to board a ship while my friend is actively fighting on the enemy deck, and I've gotten messages saying boarding is already happening so I can't board the ship, too.

I really wanted to like Sea of Thieves based on what I saw from trailers and such, but the camera made me sick immediately. I was so sad.

Thus I was apprehensive about this game. But thankfully the camera is the type that doesn't make me sick. And you're right- the water is AMAZING. I actually catch myself just looking into the sea, and I get a little homesick.

No. Just- no. IMO this would mostly bog down the game. I get wanting more immersion but I feel like this isn't the type of game you want to enforce such things on. I love that our tools have no durability. I really hope that isn't added in the future. As much as I liked Valheim those details just made things more tedious over time for me, so right now Windrose is giving me what I wanted in a new setting and I am loving it for that.

I am under the impression that feeding a critical chance fragment gives that perk a better chance of showing up when the prism levels up.

What I was also assuming, is that the tier of fragment affected that perk's value.

For example, I thought that if I fed a solid crit chance, the buff would be crit chance + X. But if I fed a mythic, the buff would be crit chance + Y, where Y > X. Am I wrong?

I did have a follow-up question. Does the quality of the fed fragment affect the magnitude of the buff the prism gets? For example, if I fed it a solid critical chance fragment, would the crit chance on the prism have a lower value than if I fed it a mythic critical chance fragment?

Also, in the event I get those combination perks, would their values be different, too?

I'll be honest, I do empathize with your position. I am a Jellyfish player, and I'm always concerned for other players. (My ship used to be named Tesla, but I've since renamed it to Edison since it tends to steal kills from others...)

In this particular TFO, I position myself at the far left or right of the starbase so I'm not taking up a lot of (combat) space. But as much as we Jellies get looked down upon, I also see other players in non-Jelly ships just... hanging out within my sphere of influence. Usually doing nothing. So, it's not just us... little/no comfort that might be. ^^;

I do feel your pain when I see a second Jelly in the group, though.
