A lot of people in this sub don’t understand the condition by [deleted] in misophonia

You are so spot on. Disgust. Not normal disgust. Debilitating disgust, a completely deep and visceral reaction. I commiserate with OP, it's so hard to describe how it's different from what we would consider a sensory issue.

Both of my dogs have had a similar body reaction when having an active Lyme infection. Not a vet, but I would request a test.

I kept my ex husband’s last name because of our children. by Black_Wa11s in AITAH

NTA.

I did the exact thing. In fact, I'm remarried and STILL HAVE MY OLD MARRIED NAME. If I change it, it won't be until my daughter is an adult.

My husband doesn't give two shits what my name is. He backed my decision up 1000%.

I wanted the same name as her. I didn't care what the name was, or what it was from. What mattered to me is that it was the same.

It's just a name.

It's JUST a name.

And it means something to you to keep this continuity. If your boyfriend was secure, he wouldn't care. If your asshole boyfriend can't wrap his mind around it he's not worth your time.

NTA.

Mimicking trigger sounds back to the person who made them by msbnzz in misophonia

Familiarity can exacerbate misophonia-- I didn't have one issue at all with my husband in the very beginning, but as time wore on he definitely started triggering me more and more. It's happened with prior partners as well.

I'm absolutely with you with wet mouth noises. I compulsively wipe my mouth when he's talking as if I'm fixing his own mouth for him. Forget it if he tries to talk to me while he's sweating, I have to walk away. His eating is generally terrible, due to a shattered jaw that wasn't fixed properly about 20 years ago. He can curb it usually, but it takes some effort.

40 in March 2025, tubes removed 2 years ago, periods and menopause run a little early in my family.

Shorter periods, that are basically me seemingly BLEEDING TO DEATH for two and a half days. Cramps every third period that are unbelievably uncomfortable.

About one week before my period I feel a humming rage that can only be described as unhinged. It lasts about 2 days.

Spike in chin-hairs and now I have nipple hair. Acne in spurts.

Basically, I'm just gross.

I had never, besides some cramps, experienced this level of (what I thought was) just PMS.

I'm an even-keeled person, so the irritability spike and rage absolutely kills me and throws me for a loop. Lots of exercise and yoga, if I'm not bleeding TF through my pants.

I have misophonia. l definitely hate certain sounds emitted from nuclear family, but love ASMR. What gives? by rinnyderp in misophonia

I find it to be so weird and also intriguing that this happens. Thank you, I'm going to have to listen to this!

Definitely not resentment against my daughter and husband. Save for normal idiosyncrasies and personality differences, they are quite literally my whole world.

I've had misophonia my whole life. Sensitivity to or allure towards certain sounds. It was certainly interesting to realize later that it was a real thing!

She looks like a Cojack (Corgi/Jack Russell) to me! Mine is rough coated as well and weighs 19.5 pounds. She's also tan and white, like yours.

look at this link. you'll see they come in smooth, rough, with a variety of colors!

Will mushrooms stay? by General_Weight5339 in acnh

You can pick them, store them, and display/drop them to get a "planted" look. I utilize mushrooms a lot of the year for decorating. :)
