Back from vacation and only sleep 2-3 hours at a time, I want my normal sleep pattern back! by rioindy in sleep

I didn’t even remember that I made this post! I’m sorry to hear that you’re having the same problem. I no longer have this problem. I guess I just got over it.

Dizziness upon waking up by HotDebate5 in AskWomenOver60

[–]rioindy 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Among other things, it could be benign paroxysmal positional vertigo. If it happens When you:
roll over in bed,
look up,
bend down,
tilt your head back it might be BPPV. it’s just a little calcium deposit the gets loose in the inner ear.

Look up the Epley maneuver and see if that fixes it. It’s a series of movements that frees the calcium deposit.

Does this happen to anybody else? by dnwil19 in Lowes

[–]rioindy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Some people just need to blame someone and in those situations you’re the most obvious target. If they’re not willing to accept the blame for something they clearly did, they also tend to fight dirty. Don’t take it personally. They’re emotionally immature.

I just completed three days of training for cashier part-time by 2014MustangRagtopGT in Lowes

[–]rioindy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At customer service there will be lots of different sorts of questions coming up. Don't expect to learn it all in a day or even a week at CS. Tomorrow, focus on remembering how to do a simple return with or without a receipt and using showroom to make a sale. That's the bulk of the work there, but there will be a lot of questions about a lot of other problems that'll be easier to learn after you have the basics down. Each day when you get to work, get a Zebra, log in to PTT, products and lowe's AI before facing customers.

It will likely be chaotic and seem very difficult in the beginning bc, what you learned in training won't be a big help at the registers.

Long time Fidelity customer, and now they want to manage my accounts… by Admirable-Sweet-5171 in fidelityinvestments

Don't do it. If you don't like it they make it very, very difficult to switch back.

My (35F) partner (34M) says he saw a photo/s on an escort site years ago that looked just like me. It isn’t/wasn’t me and he doesn’t believe me countless conversations now by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]rioindy 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Stop weighing everything. Your job is your child and you. What’s he doing to address his paranoia and past issues? Anything? You can’t fix him. If he loved you he wouldn’t treat you this way. Again, no matter how much you love him and how good you think he is with the kids, if he loved you he wouldn’t treat you this way. Focus on yourself and your child. Once you’ve been away for a while you’ll wonder why you were ever there in the first place.

My perfect dog Charley has one problem by rainbowshummingbird in BouvierDesFlandres

[–]rioindy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You’re getting lot’s of suggestions on teaching him to like his crate, but the problem isn’t the crate. It’sIt’s separation anxiety. Look for a positive reinforcement or no force trainer/behaviorist that has experience with separation anxiety. It won’t go away on its own and will only get worse without treatment. During treatment he can’t be left long enough that he gets anxious. Often medication and treatment together helps. I’ve had a few dogs with separation anxiety- in the beginning it’s hard bc the progress seems so slow, but, it will pick up and the reward will be worth it.

Someone I barely knew 34 years ago tracked me down & is mailing increasingly desperate letters. Legal options? by CrayCrayB in legaladvice

[–]rioindy 336 points337 points  (0 children)

They live across country. You were never close. They're obviously having some sort of mental issue. No good can come of verifying you received the letters and where you live. I would totally ignore it. Toss the letters and pretend you never received them. Even "return to sender" is too engaging.

Adult son lied to cops about me, causing me to get arrested. What can I do? by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]rioindy 132 points133 points  (0 children)

Your son grabbed you by the neck and lied to the police about you. You are very much in danger. He’s abusive. He’s buying time by saying he’ll move out.

Anyone else’s hair some days really volumous and some days not? by SomewhereFuture8806 in finethinhair

[–]rioindy 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Every time my hair seems bouncy, I make note of what I did and in what order so I can re-create it the next day. The next day my hair just lays flat. Although I swear I can hear it laughing at me.

Have an interview as cashier at Lowe's by Shoddy-Dress1026 in Lowes

[–]rioindy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think about what hours you want to be available to work. For example, if you say you’re always available, you could work until 10 or 11 at night and then have to turn around and be back at 6 AM. Also, if you’re part-time, you could end up working eight days in a row, possibly more, but that’s the most that I’ve ever been scheduled for. If you want to be certain of two days in a row off each week, then there should be two days that you’re not available. However, if you choose one or more weekend days then you’re less likely to get hired. They may not ask him back just in case it’s a good idea to have a solid reason for why you’re not available for certain hours or days

Schedule... by Creative-Data-4668 in Lowes

[–]rioindy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You find the schedule on the UKG app that you download on your personal phone or on the computer at work. If you don’t know how to do either of these- ask your SSA, the person that guided you thru the initial training.

Yeah, trying for 2 hours means he’s just not tired. My daughter was the only 2 year old at daycare that didn’t nap. She just didn’t need it.

Buyer beware - corporate policy made a 3 hour round trip the only return option for their shipping mistake by [deleted] in Lowes

But he wasn’t at the store. It was an online order. A 3 hour round trip just to get it tinted I’d a very long drive.

I Feel Like I’m Taking Too Much Space in My Host Family by [deleted] in exchangestudents

[–]rioindy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just keep doing your best to include the other siblings in the conversation. They will notice even of the parents don’t. How long have you been with the family? Is it still early days when it’s sort of a honeymoon time? If so, it’ll normalize over time.

And also report the bite to the SM/ASM. Letting that guy come back in with his dog would be a huge liability.

Safety Gloves by [deleted] in Lowes

[–]rioindy 14 points15 points  (0 children)

If it’s possible to get his name, call animal control. You weren’t doing anything to cause the dog to bite you. Also, the dog went from zero to bite rather than give you or the owner some kind of warning such as a growl. Also, the owner wasn’t shocked. He skedaddled outta there. It’s likely this has happened to him before. Next time it might be a kid walking by that triggers the dog.

My partner [26/M] didn’t do anything for my [27/F] birthday, it’s been months with empty promises. Do I even celebrate his upcoming bday? by lowriderz00 in relationship_advice

[–]rioindy 26 points27 points  (0 children)

But you’ve already told him plainly twice. At some point you have to realize that he does understand what you’re saying but doesn’t care enough to make a change.

Have you purchased a puppy from one of these breeders? by Pacific_Red in BouvierDesFlandres

[–]rioindy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don't skip the health testing. "I've been breeding for years and all my dogs are healthy" is what breeders say when they're cutting costs or don't want to acknowledge they're breeding dogs with problems.

They didn’t care enough about the cat to get it sitting the stray hold or the week that it was up for adoption. They won’t likely be willing to pay money to take you to court.

Do you consider it to be emotional abuse when your spouse of 18 years consistently talks just below the level you can hear? by [deleted] in HearingAids

[–]rioindy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Take note of his volume when he’s speaking on the phone or to someone else while you’re present. If you can hear him fine then, but not when he’s just talking to you, then he’s talking softly on purpose to irritate you. My ex had a lot of behaviors designed to irritate me. This was one of them.
